She continues watching the tactical display, like a hawk stalking its prey. She is pretty sure that the ship is a Romulan ship, due to all of the similarities with Romulan designs and the energy signature on their engines.
"Motion sensor reading is on a direct course for our warp core. Energy signatures are sporadic, but read as our opponent's signature. Judging from their speed, I think their impulse engines are down, and they are forced to rely on maneuvering thrusters.
I've further modified the torpedo warheads to avoid detonation on the warp core. Given our sensor readings on the vessel's power signature, I've programmed the torpedoes to home in on it, while avoiding our core at all costs. Detonation sensors have also been modified to avoid detonation on the warp core, should they miss our 'friends'..."
She decides to give voice to her suspicions.
"Captain, the similarities with known Romulan design are dificult to ignore, and the engine signature matches known Romulan technology. I believe this is a new design of Romulan stealth attack ship. If the Tal'Shiar had not been destroyed in their recklessness to remove the Dominion in the Gamma Quadrant years ago, I'd say it's a good bet that they would use a design very much like this now.
The only way I can be absolutely sure on whether my suspicion is true is to get a good scan on their primary weapon energy signature."
She continues monitoring the other ship's speed and course heading, and sees if she can shore up the shields anymore, should they get into a serious firefight.

Ponders Anise's Concern.
Or maybe someone wants us to implicate the Romulans. After the assassination of the Praetor in 2379, the Tal Shiar was abolished. No, I think this may be the work of a Tal Shiar Collaborator, not directly attached to the Romulan Empire. Cross reference ships of the Reman Classes, see if we have a match.

"Reman classes, ma'am?"
Anise was puzzled by that, not very knowledgeable about the Remans, outside of their military capability. Still, as they have time, she probes into the registry for information.
"We are a little weak in that part of the registry, but I'll see if I can dig something up."
She digs as deep as she can into the registry, and cross-references their current sensor telemetry and visual designs, as her fingers play the console like a very skilled organist.

The weapon is fully charged Commander, and the Federation ship is just in range.
Very well then Lock the weapon on target.
The Weapons officer tries to establish a lock.
I said lock target!
Weapons lock is malfunctioning. I can't establish a lock!

Not surprised by that fact Lt. Ever since the Shinzon incident, the Romulans have been tight lipped about their dealings with the Remans. Mylantra, keep tabs on our warp core. We can't afford to lose it.

Anise takes her readings as far as she can, and sees the range of the blip that she is sure is their 'stalker' as she digs through the database of Reman ships.
"I may have a match on the ship, captain. There is some information from Starfleet Intelligence about a Reman stealth-attack cruiser, that shares many similarities with Romulan technology. As far as I can tell, a class name has not been put to it, yet..."
With that, she brings the image up on the main viewscreen, side-by-side with the visuals taken of their attacker. The designs match perfectly.
"Motion sensor blip is still approaching, ma'am. If they can fire while cloaked, then we will have little, if any, warning. They're now at sixty-five thousand kilometers from our warp core, and slowly closing, bearing zero-zero-three mark zero-zero-five.
At our current speed, we will be in maximum tractor range of our warp core in one minute, five seconds, however, we are within weapons range of that motion reading.
At their rate of approach, they will be within transporter range of the core in approximately fifty-five seconds. I'm also picking up an energy reading from that blip, very similar to what we picked up before they fired that beam at us earlier. They may have brought it to bear again.
I can manually target phasers and quantum torpedoes, as I'm not sure I'd trust the computer's targetting with all the radiation floating around out here. I've modified the phasers to the narrowest confinement beam possible, so that we essentially have a starship-sized laser scalpel. Quantum torpedo warheads are set to maximum yield."

The Crusader Fires a full barage onto the Target. The Torpedoes weaken the shields easily as the phasers rip through the hull and cause massive damge as the ship burst into flames, and conclude into a large fireball.

(Slight back post)
"Aye, captain."
Her fingers moved with lightning speed over the tactical controls, unleashing all of the Crusader's forward weapons.
-----------------------------
"Gotcha!" she half-shouted with a strong sense of pride and excitement at taking down a superior foe.
"The enemy vessel has been destroyed, captain." she said, in a much calmer voice.
"Tractor beam standing by to retrieve our core. Just before they blew, I extended the shields around the core."

A tad upset that the ship was destroyed, she sat up a bit, and pondered who was really her attacker. She then heard Anise and said nothing for about 20 seconds then stood.
Have Engineering install it, and get our Warp engines online. Set a course directly to Denias III. Contact SB140 when we clear this debris and send them everything we have on this ship, weapon, and the lost of the Deauville, and Japan. Anise....Mylantra....Melina......good job, I'm putting you all up for commendations. I just wish......I knew who they truly were. I'll be in my ready room. She starts to the Ready room. You have the bridge Number One, and see if the Doctor can see me when he's done. She exits into her ready room.

Sorry Peeps but right now I need to wrap up some actions on Denias III.
Lt Love, and Morgan come to the Davidson Ranch to ask some questions. When the shields come down Teshurr, Yuna, and Botai beam into the underground facility and start to search for Botai's father. As Redman, and Love keep Davidson busy, the Trio below make inroads as they uncover the massive Protoculture factory that produces the very weapon that was used against the Crusader. They check the computer records and find a larger network of transports to a Zentradi Cruiser been supplying them the Plants that create the Protoculture, as well as take some samples for study. They find Botai's father in a suspension tank as well as others. All being converted into the very plants that produce Protoculture. Rescuing his father, he s too far gone to remain alive, but reveals thats what they are doing here. Protoculture is the essence energy of humanoid life. As Mike, and Vicky continue to stall, an alarm is tripped. They fight with the Guards and try to fight their way to the shield controls. Meanwhile below ground, Teshurr, and Yuna are under heavy fire as well, as they await Mike and Vicky to beam them out. Then a Phaser strike hits a Massive Protoculture container and a Chain reaction is about to occur. Finally the shields drop, and the 5 beam back onto the Orion Flyer, but the Base is going critical, and if iot isn't stopped the Planet is DOOMED as well as all the inhabitants.

She watches her captain's posture, and realizes that there was a piece to the mystery that was missed to get before the other cruiser blew up, and realizes that they may need another way to answer that puzzle. She locks the tractor beam onto the core and carefully pulls it in toward the ship.
"Yes, ma'am." she responds to saying she had the bridge.
She stands up from tactical and comes toward the center of the bridge.
"Let's go to Yellow Alert for now, just in case there's anymore surprises... Begin the salvage operation for our warp core. Once we get warp drive restored, we can get to the rendevous point to pick up our away team."

( It's no problem. I'd like this part of the mission to be over as well.. )
She, Teshur and a team get beamed down to the underground facility and start searching for Botai's father. As they search they uncover a massive protocullture factory, even larger then the one on the surface. She sensed that this is the source of all the Zentrati weapons. Teshur finds some interesting files on the Zentrati, a network of supplies and transports, supllying the other ships with the plants stored here. They soon find Botai's father but he is in the process of being turned into protoculture and doesnt live long after the rescue him. She had senses something horrible about this room as she came in and knew why as Botai's father explained that humans are the source of the protocultures energy before he died
An alarm was tripped and she, teshur got into a fire fight with the guards. She trying to shout a warning not to shoot weapons around the protoculture byt her warning goes unheard. As they were beamed out, one of the storage container's is hit and it starts a chain reaction that will destroy the planet and perhaps the galaxy.
As she re-took her tactical station, she looked at the sensors, and reported "Commander, we have 5 minutes before that planet and most likely us gets blown to smitherreens. We need to find a way to stop it or get as far away from it as we can before it blows."

Looks over at Yuna....
I'll need to talk with Lr. Redman...taps his commbadge.
Mr. Redman...this is Commander Teshurr...I want to know if you could beam the Protoculture into the transport Buffer?

Stumbling to his console, he pulls up the Transporter systems.
We could theoretically fit it but I'm not sure for how long. The Flyer's Computer can only store so much memory Commander. And if it's building to overload we may find our self being ground zero.
