Nods, "Yeah.... what if someone gets in our way? Right now we've been given orders to ignore any regulation, up to and including the Prime Directive to complete this mission. You ready to give those kinda orders? We're looking at the very kinda situation General Order 24 is made for."
"What I said in the meeting was exageration, but not by much."

General Order 24, is still intact. The fact is this. Protoculture fall under a Gray area. An Enviromentally safe variant of Omega, with the same devastating power. And from what I'm told, no way of destroying it safely. From what I was told Doctor, this alien technology is not cut and dry. You can't brak it apart. Can't iradicate a single part of it. Thats what happened at Starbase 140. They extracted one protien, what resulted was mass destruction on an epic scale from a strand of RNA. Thats why Doctor General Order 24 is not invoked. Do you think I would let this substance exist if I could destroy it?

Considers that, "That's what I'm trying to decide, Captain."

She raises her right eyebrow, as she sits up, and laces her mug on her desk.
So I'm being judged Doctor?

Smiles, obviously amused by the question. "Is that rhetorical? Everyone judges everyone else. You judged me before I ever stepped foot on this ship and have been re-evaluating those assessments ever since. I've done the same to you."
Pauses to take a casual sip of his fish juice, then continues. "As we speak our fellow officers out there on the bridge, inexperienced as some may be, are wondering 'what the hell's up with that guy?'"

The fact is Commander, I had reason to judge you. And from what I've seen, in a way you have warranted it.. As far as the crew, mind you I lost 4 very experienced officers whom were open, and respected this ship, and crew. Now it's my job to instill that same drive, and desire. Of course the will wonder about a Gun toting, open minded, and opinionated doctor.

She couldn't help but laugh at hearing Melina's story. As she knows a thing or two about baseball, she looks forward to seeing that when Redman starts the tryouts.
"Hopefully we'll get the chance to see that fastball for ourselves when the tryouts are going on."
She also wonders about what they'll find along the way to the rendevous with the Japan. Having an admitted hard time staying seated, she gets up and walks around a bit.

Teshurr is now waiting for the Captain to drop them off so they can get to Denius IV.
He turns to the other again.
Once we are on our way....I will going over what our mission is. I would guest that you all know it has something to do with all the Omega talk...well it does...but for right now...the less you know...the better off you will be.....Since if this mission goes bad, I will be the only officer Star Fleet will blame....This is not up for debet this is a direct order. The offical ship log will show that we are heading to Denius IV to do a simple survey mission. Is that understand?
He give each of the a cold blue look.

She hears the order for the shuttle ready to leave, and presses her com badge.
"Aye captain."
She then turns back to Melina, knowing things are about to get set into motion.
"Lieutenant, bring us out of warp. Shelaas to Avatar, please confirm all pre-launch checks are complete and begin launch countdown on my mark.
Bridge to Shuttle Bay, prepare to open the bay doors."

She turned back to the Commander when he addressed the group and merely nodding at what he had to say "Yes, Commander" She said when he asked if what he said was understood
He then contacted the Captain and reported that everything was a go for launch and everyone was ready
She perked up a little when she heard ANise's voice come over the communicator. She looked at the viewscreen and saw Anise in the Command chair. She smiled a bit, thinking that Anise looked good sitting there. She looked good period, she mused
