He sat uneasily, not one who liked to wait, but was admittedly rather antsy, knowing that lives were in the balance.
~Crio, what the hell are you doing?!? Get your ship out there to help Vanessa! She and her crew are counting on you to get there before the unthinkable happens!~ he heard Brexen shout in his mind.
He visibly shivered at the thought of things getting worse.
"What was the last known position of the starship Federation? And try to get any information available on her status, including last received communiques and transmitted sensor logs."

They appear to be anomalous. No certain pattern. At points they seem to dly across the sensor, at others they disapper, and reappear, and disappear. Not sure if the information i correct. The pattern could bw 3 at a time to 30 at a time.

The last known position would put the Federation some 80 LY away in the Alpha Quadrant. 8 days at Warp 9.9, also they lost contact with the Federation nearly 4 hours ago sir.

He was surprised at the report, and then made up his mind, after the near swift kick in the butt that Brexen gave him again.
"Contact Starbase 140 and tell them that we can't wait for the extra torpedoes, unless they can beam them over as we pass by.
Helm, ease us out of dock, thrusters ahead until we clear the drydock outer marker, then increase to one-quarter impulse."Note additional activity for Columbia here: stgenfleet.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=starbase140&action=display&thread=377&page=13#5749

She looked at the Captain and could sense that he was anxious about getting going, torpedos or no torpedos. She could also sense the mental rebuss from somewhere within the Captain. Curious, she looked at him and focused her mind. She could sense another.. presence. Knowing Crio is a Trill, she was sure she is sensing the symbiant within him and the previous host. She inwardly smiled at herself. This is quite a unique experiance. She's never been able to sense so much from one person before
She turned toward the Operations Officer as she reported the last known position of the Federation. Her brows lifted in surprise. 8 days at warp 9.9? That was quite a distance to traverse to go save the Federation
She looked up at the viewscreen as Captain Morgan said it was a literal mad house over there and couldn't guaruntee the 20 minute mark for the torpedos. She nodded as Captain Ijoula seemingly came to the conclusion that waiting would not be wise. She agreed "The lives of the Federaion are more important then waiting for torpedos" She commented to Ijoula as he ordered helm ease us out of dock, thrusters ahead until we clear the drydock outer marker, then increase to one-quarter impulse."

He admittedly felt bad about being clobbered mentally by Brexen, but knew there was a good reason for it, and that reason was emphasized with the communique from Starbase 140.
~Finally... Now make sure your engineer can hold the ship at Warp 9.9, or I'll help you make sure it can... You better get there and fast. If a Sovereign-class ship looses power, they may have life-support at best for two months from reserve power, unless that was compromised... But if they were injured severely enough, then Guardians help those who attacked them if any of them die...~
Crio shivered slightly at the extra information from Brexen, silently agreeing that if anyone onboard the USS Federation dies, then they will have hell to pay.
"As soon as we clear the shipyards, take us to maximum warp."
He would then press the intercom button on the armrest.
"Ijoula to Engineering, are we ready to see how the warp engines perform under actual flight conditions? Reason I ask is because I want Warp 9.9 as soon as we clear the shipyards."

The Columbia slowly springs to life as it begins to slowly come out of the structure lit up in all glory. As she proceeded the proximity alert signal went off on Xylia's board as a thud is heard.

She merely sat and obsrved as the Columbia left the dock. She felt a bit of pride for the ship, proud that she is the First Officer of such a fine ship, proud..
She blinked as a thud broke into her thoughts. She raised both brows as Throne reported that something collide with the hull but there was no damage
"Ship's don't go thud unless.." Her eyes widened and felt a spike of fear, she remembering the report about sensor ghosts. Those weren't ghosts, her mind told her

He felt the thud as the ship eased out of dock, and went cross-eyed for a moment. When he heard that it was a Tholian ship likely using a stealth approach, he knew that meant big trouble.
"Red Alert! All hands to battlestations!
Mister N'Thek, start targetting them with phasers. Do not fire unless they do. As soon as we clear the drydock, raise shields. Hail them."
He could imagine the tension level going up as the klaxons went off and the bridge lights dimmed substantially, and the crimson red alert lights would flash in perfect timing with the klaxon.
He thought for a moment, trying to remember the helmsman's name.
"Mister Hanes, get us some maneuvering room as soon as we clear the dock.
Lieutenant Thorne, see if you can get in contact with our other ships here. With any luck, at least one of them is ready for battle and can be launched quickly."

The Columbia slips out of the Dry dock as the last 100 meters of it's Nacelles start to clear the Drydock explodes in several nast explosions as the small Tholian Craft began an onlaught on the Drydock. Several small hits are made on the Columbia, as a group swing around and targets the Columbia juat as she clears the Dry Dock,
