As he left the Turbo Lift, he barely had time to go to attention as he spotted the Commander, and Captain. He also noticed Rosaria at the Science station, but at the moment the Captain took precedents.

He looks around as members of the crew come toward him a bit, reporting in, with some going to attention.
"A pleasure, and as you were. I look forward to getting to know all of you as soon as our respective duties permit. However, at the moment, we need to finish getting everything ready to go."
Turning to the Vulcan who approached him, wearing operations gold, he took a guess that this would be his new tactical officer and perhaps pulling double-duty as security chief, but wasn't completely sure.
"Mister N'Thek, first off, welcome aboard. We are due to be getting a shipment of photon and quantum torpedoes. Have those arrived yet, by any chance?"
He would stay near the back of the bridge to observe the bridge crew in action.

N'thek walks over to his tachical console and hits a few buttoms and then looks back to the Captain.
Sir...the photon torpedoes are all loaded and the last of the quantum torpedoes are being loaded as we speak. I say within 20 minutes we will be fully loaded. I mit add that we are only load with 90 quantum torpedoes...Do you wish me to contact Sb 140 and find out where the rest of the quantum torpedoes are...Sir.

He would listen to the report from N'Thek, and nods.
"If you wouldn't mind. I will be explaining shortly."
He makes his way around the bridge slowly, taking in the faces of all of the bridge crew, admittedly awaiting the results of the warp core tests, knowing that it wouldn't be too long before they needed to get moving.

She turned as each officer: Thorne, N'Thek, and Hanes came up to greet and report in to the captain. She gave each of them a nod with a friendly smile
She was about to address N'Thek, since she knew he is reporting as a Tactical officer of the shortage of torpedos, when the Captain beat her to it
N'Thek reported that the torpedos that we do have have been loaded and asked if he should contact 140 for more, if they have any. She nodded as Captain Ijoula ok'd him to contact Sb140
As the Captain walked around to survey the bridge. She took a few minutes to look at the bridge as a whole, not just glances here and there while she was running around trying to get things done abd ready to leave
When things are more calm, she thought she would take a break and a nap

Rosaria was taken back as she read her console. All reading were within standards but a faint reading of energy voids that she could not explain. But the anomalie seem temporary as it faded in and out.
Guess the sensors have a few quirks. Picking up very faint engy voids.

She was about to sit down in the seat reserved for the First Officer when she heard her comm badge. She reached up to tap the comm badge that rested on her breast "Elbrun here, go ahead Moragami"
She waited for the Chief to respond, presuming she was about to tell her about the results of the stress test

She checks her console as a multitude of incoming hails flash on her console.
Captain, I have a message from Captain Morgan. She said the Torpedoes won't be ready for another 20 minutes. On you descretion she needs to know do you intend to search for the Federation now. We have clearance from Shipyard Operations.

He takes in all the information coming from all angles, as he needs a little adjustment to get used to it. He smiled at the report of the Columbia having warp power available, but was also a little concerned about the reports on the sensors. He knew that new technology would periodically have quirks, but knows it's best to be vigilant regardless.
"'Energy voids'? Please keep an eye on them, just to be safe, Miss Mendez, and let's hope it's just a quirk. Where is it showing at?"
He would press the intercom control on the armrest of the captain's chair, while remaining standing.
"Attention officers and crew of the USS Columbia, this is Captain Ijoula speaking. I do realize that this is a bit of an unusual circumstance to get to meet your new captain, but I sincerely hope that once we complete our tasks at hand, we will be able to have a proper chance to meet each other face-to-face.
We are preparing to give Columbia a chance to stretch her wings and fly. Your hard work at getting her ready is very much appreciated. I hope I speak for everyone onboard when I say that I'm quite eager to see what Columbia can do.
However, with that said, I feel that you must also be informed that we are very likely headed into a potential combat situation, as we go to the aid of one of our sister ships. All departments, please submit battle readiness reports to Commander Elbrun as soon as possible.
I realize for many of you, it may be felt that this is not the best start to a new assignment. Quite frankly, I agree with that thought. However, as Starfleet officers, we have a duty to protect, assist, and defend those who need that protection, especially if they are our own.
Now, secure all systems and prepare for departure."
He shuts off the intercom and looks toward Thorne.
"I'm quite eager to get help to Admiral Lucifel and her crew.
Check the airlocks to make sure they've been cleared before sealing them. Clear all moorings and check to make sure that all drydock worker bees, travel pods, and shuttles have cleared the area, leaving us with a clear flight path out."
He would then shift his gaze toward the helmsman, Lieutenant Hanes.
A feeling of pride for his crew swept over him like a gentle wave, and he had to smile at that feeling as he sat down in the captain's chair.

She smiled at Moragami's report, knowing the Engineering Chief couldn't see it "That's wonderful, Chief. I would like to commend you for your efforts in getting the warp core available for travel. Stand by for departure"
She glanced at Thorne, who reported that they have a message from Captain Morgan. The torpedos won't be ready for another 20 minutes. Her glance would move toward Captain Ijoula"Sir, I would recommnd we wait. I know it is urgent that we search for the Federation but I am doubting 20 minutes would make much of a differance"

He looked at Elbrun, and he would nod, having been about to give the orders for thrusters to be employed.
"Alright. Signal Captain Morgan that we'll wait for the torpedoes to come in. Just in case, it would be a good idea to be fully armed. And it will give us a chance to find out what's causing those odd readings on the sensors."
He would look toward Thorne again with a curiousity as to what could be causing the sensor ghosts, and he pondered it for a moment.

She got the impression that he was about to start departure procedures when she spoke up about waiting an extra 20 minutes for the load of torpedos
She smiled at the captain, but looked a bit apologetic as if she over stepped her bounds "Yes, sir. I had thought that as well. Whatever caused the Federation to go silent, we could very well encounter once we get there and we'll need all available weapons"
She tapped a key on her chair PADD "Commander Elbrun to Captain Morgan. The Captain has decided to wait for the extra shipment of torpedos. The Captain extends his thanks and his gratitude for the extra shipment"
