Hearing her combadge, Heidi finished up breakfast as quickly as she could. While exiting the mess hall, she bumped into Cai, and Gjin.
So sorry. Was on my way to the Briefing room for the meeting. Must be about those injectors.

She grabs Heidi as she bumps into rock solid Gjin, and bounces off.
Hope you didn't hurt yourself. And I hope the Admiral didn't blow his stack when he got the news about the Provider.

He nodded, thinking that was why he had went to her quarters. To have breakfast with her, but he got mixed up were they were to meet. Then the Admiral called
"Depending on what the Admiral has us doing, I would love to meet with you for lunch" and dinner, he thought to himself. He then held out his arm to her "Shall we go see what has the Admiral on alert?" He said, in a charming tone

Hearing his tone, she raised an eyebrow as to react with some suspicion. Of course. I'm sure this must be of some urgency.

At this point I think thats a good bet. I just hope he has a plan for retrieving them.

He was attempting to add a bit of humor in his tone but with S'helar's lovely brow raised, he didn't think he was successful. He needed to work on his humor. Course, what he knew of vulcans, they didn't find much humorous. He hoped he could get to know more about Vulcans, especially one in particular, in the near future "Of course."
His arm was still outstretched, waiting to see if she would take it

He sits at the Head of the Table as Duvall, Quinn, Nyung, Ruehl, and S'helar, and Gjin awaits his words.
We have a problem. Yesterday, a fleet of Pirate ships attacked a supply convoy from Starbase 112. Among the supplies that were taken were our injectors. It don't take a Rocket scientist to know what that means. But there is a solution to our problem. There is a supply of injectors at the Ventaxx Space dock. As you know it's is a Privately owned facility, and many pirates use it as a way station. II want to seen Lt Ruehl, and his team there to inspect, and retrieve the injectors. Lt Nyung will pilot a Runabout, the Hudson there, and back. I want this to be a small team, because while this is Going on, we have to handle perimeter patrol. That means we will have a Ship, with Impulse engines, and thats about it. Any questions?

Admiral, what about us on the Avenger? Will we be split up?

The Admiral looked to Heidi. No, Commander Quinn will be in command and doing a system patrol between here and Cestus IV. As you know we are short handed, and although we don't have Warp speed, we do have use of impulse Engines. The Definat is an excellent Gunship. And this is war.

The news of Pirates attacking the supply ships, then them taking our injectors was not recieved well. Most had feelings of anger and disappointment and rightly so. He listened to the questions from the other officers, especially Heidi, pleased that none of the Avenger crew will be split up "Admiral, since I am to command the Avenger while out on patrol, Shall I assume that you will be assisting Lt Nyung in the runabout"?
Patrol duty, pretty boring but it least it is peaceful. Will he be able to spend more time with S'helar? Perhaps

Negative. As you all know I am also responsible for the shipyard. The fleet is busy rebuilding, and my place right now, is here on the Starbase until further notice. So Commander Quinn, I'm afraid you will be on your own. I'm sure you will have more then enough officers to aid you.

He listened to the Admiral and when he finished, he nods "The Avenger is a fine ship with an equally fine crew. I am sure we will do quite well with what we have. I will bring your ship back in one piece, sir" He said with a smile

Cai cautiously ask as the Commander finishes. Admiral sir, any word on your wife, or the Federation?
