She snapped out of her revalry and placed shields over her mind to keep everyone who could read her mind out. She visibly shuttered when she heard Jensen say Ashmore's name in the fatalities list. Her breath caught and she thought she may pass out again. Her heart did lighten to see the Admiral back and around, looking well enough. She looked to M'Pel and shook her head to her, letting her know she was able to carry out her duties still. With that, Maria limped over to the Engineering consoles and leaned against it, tapping and running full diagnostics of the entire ship.

Admirals log, Stardate 66613.08
It has been 3 days since we restored partial power, and got impulse up and running. Yet still we crawl through Tholian space to the Federation. I sent T'hpok, and Graves on the Joan of Arc to see if they can find any Federation ships, but we haven't heard from them in 18 hours. The are due to report in 6 more hours. If they don't we can only assume the worse. Meanwhile, everyones spirit is with them, as the crew is mostly optomistic. Yesterday we avoided several Tholian patrol ships by playing dead in an asteroid field. Ensign Molina, and Captain Gomez seem to be up to the task of rebuilding the Federation before we return. As Maria put it, "Just have them slap in a Class 7 Warp Core, otherwise let kick some Tholian butt".
Mister Jensen on the other hand is sweating confidence. He has been on ditty for the past 32 hours, and performing like a man on a mission. Even after Commander Meru returned to duty, he has been filling in for several stations, and taking the survival of this ship as his own personal mission. Meru on the other hand has ignored her pain long enough to plot a course saving us 14 weeks travel. Dr Ogawa has done the best she can as well. Ensig Padan has recovered from his coma. What worries me is that Lt M'Pel has seemed to shown alot of interest in his condition. I never saw any emotion from her, but I feel as though she takes blame for his condition. The Doctor informed me that he needs surgery within the next several days, or he could be permantly paralyzed from the neck down. She would perform it herself, but the Sickbay is ill prepared for the procedure. The Medical facilities at Starbase 140 are sorely needed. As for the rest of the crew. Replicators are still down, and we have 4 more days of rations. I can only pray that there is another ship look for us, and they find T'hpok, and Graves.
As for me, I miss my husband, and my daughter. Yet I know in my mind I shouldn't be alive. What weighs on me is "Q"'s warning, and how is Candela going to save us all?

Maria was tapping a small Engineering tool against the deck plating inside of what was left of Engineering. She was repairing a blown data shunt with two other Engineers, one tapping on the portable diagnostic terminal hooked to the EPS conduit next to the torn up deck plating. Maria and Ensign Temaya Jones, now Assistant Engineer, were inside where the deck plating was, adding improvised materials to the data shunt and EPS relays therein. She was trying to boost efficiency between the bit of Engineering left and the rest of the ship. Getting replicators back online was on her priority list as well. This was step one in that endeavor, as well as many others she had on her PADD on the deck plating above them.
Maria was recovering all right physically from her ordeal, though her limp was still pronounced. It didn't stop her from performing her duties, however. Her senses ran wild, sensing all the distress, anger, and sorrow lingering through the unshielded and Human minds of the crew. She tried to shut it out, but time to time when really absorbed in her work it'd seep through. Also, she ached in what was left of her heart for the one she admired, looked up to, and loved so very much..

As the Joan of ac bucked from incoming fire the ship pitched. Cheryl tried to keep an eye on herconsole and read off the reading to Lt Thpok. Shields at 60 %. The Warp manifolds just took a direct hit. We are dropping out of warp. Realigning the the phaser coils we might be able to get a shot off. Looks like it's 2 web spinners sir.

None Admiral. They are 12.7 minutes over do for a transmission. I have detected a increase in Rholian Transmissions activities some 6.2 minutes ago.

Not happy with her report the Admiral takes a seat, nd ponders what could possibly happened.

His left index finger twitches, as his head slowly moves as he lets out a moan. His eyes flicker a bit as he makes out the sickbay. He spots the AMO, and CMO working on others. He tries to get thier attention, as the diagnostic display alerts them of his awakening.

Hearing the Diagnostic bed, she turns, with a somewhat rare smile these days to see Bejal has recovered a bit. She walks over, and glances at the MSD, then back towards him.
Relax Bejal, your not out of the woods yet. We need to get you to Starbase 140. Do you feel any better?

As long as T'hpok, and Graves are out there, the's a better chance then just giving up. Now calm down, or I'll give you another sedative.

T'hpok keeps the Shuttle under control as he dodges the fire from the Tholian ships. He listens to Graves report. Rerouting the phasers, locking on targert and firing. He unleashes the phasers on a Tholian craft causing it to spin wildly as it takes a hit, and it's engine goes offline as the other closes in on their target. We just bought some time. But today seems to be a good day to die.

She looks at her console, and then back to the Admiral.
Admiral, picking up multiple warp signatures closing on our position. They are Tholian.

She stiffens up in her seat, as she taps her Combadge. All hands, prepare for battle. Commander Gomez, to the bridge pronto. Mr Jensen, get confirmation on what we're facing.
