She continued tinkering with the Subspace communicator when she picked up a transmission, and localized it. It was scratchy, but she had a lock on it.
Gomez to Bridge. I got a comm signal. Reception only, we can't transmit. See if you can pipe it through inter ship.

Post by Admiral Ashley Morgan on Jun 23, 2009 11:59:40 GMT -5
This is Vice Admiral Ashley Morgan of the Starship USS Constitution.
Today....will live in infamy. The Combined civilizations of the Alpha, and Beta Quadrant stand united against an enemy who prove gated an attack on their neighbors for no valid reason.
Today, the Tholians, and the Remans, using a new type of technology laid waste to over 1,000 ships. Killed Millions. Destroyed military, and civilian installations. They have attacked and occupied 14 planetary systems. And laid waste to nearly 50 shipyards.
The Romulan, and Cardassian Governments are in shambles as their capitals were destroyed. Many of our friends, loved ones, and fellow officers are dead. Including Admiral Vanessa Ann Lucifel.
By order of Starfleet Command, I have been promoted to the rank of Full Admiral, and placed as Acting Commander in Chief of the 14th Fleet. This is a honor I take with deep regret.
As we speak now, our home port is in shambles. Cestus Ship Yards has been decimated. The USS Challenger.....destroyed in dry dock. Of the 28 ships that fought in the battle, only 2 remained battle ready. We are now speeding to the Archanis system to render aid to the Klingons and uproot the Tholian Occupation there. The USS Columbia will hopefully find the USS Federation, and her crew, in hopes that the Admiral has survived. My standing orders are.
- All ships that are damaged are to be placed in Dry dock, and repaired, and placed back in service immediately.
- All fighting vessels will join up with us in the Archanis system.
- Vice Admiral Maxwell Gunn will assume all fleet operations in recovering data from the Tholians ships, and pass along intelligence to defeat these heathens.
- All Science vessels, and Deep space exploration vessels are ordered to continue their mission. If confronted by any of the enemy forces, they are to do get intelligence of fleet actions, and report. If you have an opportunity to score a blow, then please do so.
I am not worthy of the burden of this command on such a sad date. But mind you all, we will avenge the Challenger, and punish those who saw to her destruction.
Morgan out.

She stood for a moment as she took all this in, and then looked to T'hpok.
Well they are sending the Columbia, so we aren't dead yet. See if we can get the Joan of Arc up and running in the shuttle bay. Perhaps we can send out a general distress call from it. I'm heading for sickbay, see how everyone is.

First Officers Log Stardate:66500.15
The Federation is limping along at full impulse, as slowly but surely all systems are coming back on line. Long Range sensors are still down, as well as communications. We got the Joan of Arc flying just outside of short range distance, using it as our beacon of light. Sending out distress calls, as well as relaying Long Range sensor data. Lt T'hpok has performed admirably, as well as Jensen, and M'Pel. Ensign Padan has recovered from his coma, but still need some needed rest, as well as Commander Meru. The Admiral has still miraculously recovered. She stated that Q is somehow involved in all this, which I do believe he saved her life, the general feeling is why would a Q need our help though. The Admiral has returned to duty, as I and Lt Molana try to get the engine room in near workable condition. The slag has gotten into every nook and cranny, and proving to be difficult to remove. But Molana is a task master to say the least.

Sitting at the control of the Joan of Arc, T'hpok is now become the eyes and ears of the ship. T'hpok taps the comm.
Captain...Lt. T'hpok here...I have gotten all the systems on line and will be trying to send out a message to any Federation or Klingon ships...if any are in this section of space....I have also started a automated distress message on the USS Columbia space band...I am hoping they will pick it up.

She steps of the Turbo lift, as she looks around the battered bridge. Spotting M'Pel, and Jensen, she heads for her seat.
Status report?

He turned when he heard the TL doors open and the Admiral step out asking for a progress report, as if nothing had happened. His face split into a wide grin "Admiral! So glad you're up and around. I was worried when I seen all your shrapnel wounds. Welcome back"
He then turned to get that report and his grin faded a bit "Navigationally, warp drive is still shot, so if we were to head home on full impulse power, barring no complications and any outside interferrance, it would take us about 63 years to get there"

Hearing Jensen's report, she adds.
Fortunately, the Captain has thought about these facts. Lieutenant T'hpok will pilot the Joan of Arc and use ger as an Advance scout Admiral. He is ready to launch as we speak.

Not surprised. Captain Gomez can be very resourceful. How about the crew, do we have a casualty report.

His grin all but disappeared as the Admiral asked for a causualty report. He turned and reached for a PADD that contained that Information "Yes, Admiral. 487 injuries, 215 seriously injured, 12 still need further medical attention. 33 deaths, most notable.....Lieutenant Ashmore." That last name, he knew Molina would be upset and spared her a glance before looking back to the Admiral

She sat stoic for a few seconds, as she looked at the viewscreen s like she was in a trance.
I remembered he was from the USS Voyager. I was going to promote him to Commander. Hell......he deserved it. Make a note Mr Jensen, that he died on his post, as a Commander.

Although she didn't show it much, he could tell the admiral was shocked. Anyone would be shocked by such news
He listened as the Admiral spoke up, telling that she was going to promote Ashmore to Commander but then he wet and died. She then asked him to make a note of Ashmore dying at his post, as a commander. He simply nodded "Yes, Admiral" he said, then tapped a note into the PADD then turned to the navigational console to note it into the ship's log
A moment later, he tirned back to the Admiral "It is so noted, Admiral"
