Hearing the Commander she enters the TL, and does her precise about face.
Of the serious injured, I have healed well as well as Lt Nyung. Fortunately her concussion wasn't too damaging. LtCdr Duvall also showed great ability to overcome her injuries. The 2 I were most worried about are Lt Ruel, and LtJG Jesmin.

He noticed her about face as he entered with her, instructing the TL where to go. He listened to her report and smiled a bit "I am relieved that Nyung, Duvall and yourself have recovered from your injuries. All of you are very good officers and would hate to lose either one of you. I am sure the Admiral would agree with me" He glanced at her as she stated that she had been worried about Ruel and his assistant, Jesmin. That required an emotional response, he mused "I believe that Ruel and Jesmin are heroes. Without their quick thinking, It is my opinion that we would not have survived"

Actually, I am worried more about Lt Jesmin. Her sysmbiant is only 300 years of age. It had only 2 Host. Most notable was Commander Dorai Jesmin. He served 42 years in the Federation. From what I read of him he was a vary playful individual from his records. Numerous disciplinary actions ranging from petty vandalism, to behaivor unbecoming an officer. Intoxication, and from what I read from some of his personal logs, a very active social itinerary. I'm not sure Lt Jesmin will adjust to these changes.

As Cai walks along she smiles a little, "How long do you think it will be until we are able to head out Gjin?"

As he and Commander S'helar rode in the Turbo Lift, he listened as she expressed concern over Lt Jesmin, Reul's assistant. He listened as she explained that Jesmin's symbiont is only 300 years old. Only? he mused silently
He raised a brow when she mentioned Commander Dorai Jesmin and listed some of his actions due to his mischevious nature: petty vandalism, conduct unbecoming an officer, plus he was a ladies man, accoring to what S'helar read in some old personal logs. He pondered a moment before asking "Perhaps this is a case of youthful exuberance. The young do prefer to act out in ways that are quite annoying at times. Perhaps Lt Jesmin has a strong link with her symbiont that is allowing her to control her symbiont better then the previous host. Either that, the symbiont has decided to calm down and behave now that he or she is getting older" he guessed

Looking at the work rotations, and the delivery schedules possibly another week. The arrival of the Warp core is all that is really holding us back. Lt Ruel has been putting alot of effort into preparing the engine room for it.

Youthful exuberance is a wonderful excuse, although 17 of these infractions occurred in the last 3 years. One instance Lieutenant Commander Jesmin would become inebriated on Starbase 140 at the Galaxy Bar and Grill, go to the promenade Park, and serenade a female thinking she was Admiral Vanessa Lucifel. He would also find an illegal shipment of Cardassian Kanar of vintage that he would be caught selling to the Ferengi for an substantial cost. It was later revealed that the Kanar was itself property of the Ferengi. I'm hopeful that Miria can stabilize Jesmin

As he continued to listen to S'helar, he liked listening to her voice, even if it was devoid of emotion. He began to wonder what it would sound like with certain emotions included, then mentally shook his head and focused on what S'helar is saying
The last several incidents occured in the last three years, one being he got so inebriated that he serenaded a yong woman and thought she was Admiral Vanessa Lucifel
He tried to stifle a laugh but was unsuccessful. He sobered a bit when he looked into S'helar's beautiful, yet neutral, face "Appologies, Commander, despite the seriousness of the situation, I found that amusing"
He listened as she told him that he sold some Cardassian Kanar to the Ferengi, but it had been the Ferengi's in the first place "Selling something to the Ferengi when it was already there" He shook his head "That must have taken some skill"
He then addressed the issue of Maria cotrolling Jesmin "So far, I have yet to hear a bad report about either of them, so I surmise that Jesmin is either behaving himself or Maria is doing a fine job of reigning him in. Perhaps they came to a mutual agreement"

Miria is very adaptable, I believe she will have no problem adjusting. I've noticed that Lt Ruel seeme to be developing an intimate attachment to her. If anything, this may complicate this. The experiences that the crew in general has been somewhat bonding for us all. I myself am not surprised by this.
Commander, if I may ask, have you experienced any feelings to any of the crew in this manner?

He nodded in agreement to S'helar's assessment that Maria was adjusting well to her symbiont, despite his? past transgresssions. His brow raised a bit, in surprise, when she confided in him that she noticed that Maria and Ruel were in the beginnings of a romantic relationship "This coupld complicate matters, as you say but it could also be beneficial as well. If Maria is having trouble with her sybiont, who better then Mr. Reul, who seems to know her best at this point, then to help her. I too find myself bonding with this crew but more in a professional way. I am thinking the crew is starting to trust my judgements and command ability, as well as Admiral Lucifel's"
He blinked and looked at her a moment when he asked if he felt any feelings toward the crew. Did she mean personal feelings? Only one way to find out "Do you mean feelings in a personal way?" He asked, thoughtfully. He continued to look at her, his mind racing to formulate a truthful answer "To be truthful, S'helar.. I have had my eye on a couple of the crewmembers and have had the desire to get to know either one of them on a more personal level" He paused momentarily then told her "One of them is you"
He watched her expression carefully to see what her reaction would be

She shown no emotion to his admission as she continued. I'm flattered commander, but I assure you, I am not one of the crewmembers whom I worry about. LtJG Cai Nyung seems to be having difficulty fitting in. Other then LtCdr Duvall, she seems somewhat isolated from the rest of the crew. Seeing as we don't have a counselor, I was hoping you could assign her more social activities on the ship as repairs are being done.
Her gaze, and posture still as cold and methodical as ever, although she was more then aware of the Commanders advances. It has been some 5 years since Shelar's husband had passed away, but her control was paramount to her as she would never let on about her personal life.

No change in her expression or her demeanor, or even her body language. Was he expecting one? The only thing she said is that she is flattered by his interest then swiftly changed the subject again to one of the crew
As he listened, he wondered why the sudden switch in topic. Her started to like the personal banter he was having with her, specially about personal relationships. He liked the idea of making her a companion. She made a somewhat favorable reply that switched topics
Lt Jg Nyung is having trouble interacting with the crew. She along with Duvall seem isolated and she requested that he look into it and see if he couldn't get them more into an interactive role with the crew. He gave a nod and promised her "I will see what I can do about Miss Nyung and Duvall but I will do that later when I have rested. As we are both off duty, we should relax and not think about our assignments. The ship is in good hands" He studied her a bit more and was it him or did she seems to be a standing a little more rigidly? Perhaps it was his fatigue but he decided to go out on a limb. He just hope the limb would not be broken behind him "It seems that I have struck a nerve, so to speak, when I mentioned How I thought of you as attractive and think of you as a potential companion" The quick change of subject was a big sign "Has something happened before to make you cautious in that area or do you already have a companion I should know about"?
He hoped she didn't but if she did, he would understand and drop the subject

She paused a moment, as to think out her response. I am sorry Commander, if my wording to the question seemed a bit...direct. As for my needs, I am currently unattached. My husband, Sybeck, was a science officer on the USS Expedition. In 2386, a battle with the Malon forced Captain Vanessa Lucifel to Ram the ship into aone of their ships. In the action, my husband chosen to save several crewmembers rather than safely escape in a Lifepod. It's not known what delayed him, only he was among the missing. It has been several years since I have had any physical contact, nor am I seeking any. But that doesn't extend to the point that a possible relationship of my choosing is not possible.

You know, in all this time, I have never been to engineering? Perhaps I should assist in the Warp core placement.

Well I'm sure we can use all the help we can get. Matter of fact heres something up your alley. Ask the commander to be stationed to the Weapons bay. The torpedo Launchers need to be replaced. and theres an armory officer I want you to meet. You 2 should have alot in common. Giving her his best grin.
