As the meeting adjourned, and those that were going to the Hudson left, he got up and left with the rest of the Avenger crew. Walking with them, specifically S'helar, he began thinking of who he could have as his XO. He already had one person in mind, but thought of other possible choices

She exited with Quinn as Cdr Duvall sprinted off the other direction, she then looked to Cdr Quinn. I Have a suggestion for your First Officer.

He looked over to S'helar, after watching Duvall sprint off in the opposite direction they were going, and smiled at her "I was just thinking of that very thing, S'helar. I would welcome any suggestions that you have."

She looks to Quinn, as though she also realized they have such a connection. I would like to suggest LtCdr Duvall. She has unique qualities, and I believe this can be a real test for her.

If he could determine the look that registered on S'healr's lovely face, he would presume it was surprise. He listened as she suggested LtCmdr Duvall as First officer. He looked a bit surprised "S'helar, we seems to know what each other is thinking without our telepathic abilities. Lt Commander Duvall is indeed one of my choices for First Officer. The other choice, I will admit, is you. I believe that you also possess unique quakities that would make you the best First Officer for this ship."

I assumed that you would want me as your first officer. Mind you my rank of Commander, but I have no need, nor wat to show my command abilities. 4 years ago, I turned down command of the USS Consolation. I believe my skills as a doctor outweigh those of a commanding officer.

The Hudson sped along as Cai, and Miria sat in the Cockpit. Jon, and Gjin were busy at the tactical and navigation consoles. Well we're clear of the Cestus system. Lets hope the next 6 hours are free of any Tholians.

She assumed that he would want her as a First Officer and she was right. He listened to her as she informed him that she turned down Command of the Constalation. He nodded thoughtfully as she spoke of her believe that her skills as a doctor outwiegh those of being First Officer "You are correct, Commander, of course. If something should occur, we would need you in sickbay. Lt Commander Duvall is a good choice for First Officer. I will speak with her on the matter when I see her again."

She smiles as she checks the LCARS on the Console. Relax, the USS Wisliceny will be on patrol in the area. Their last report has this area clear except for some freight traffic.

Knowing Cdr Duvall, she is probably already getting all systems ready for our first Patrol.

He nods as S'helar presumed that Duvall is prepping Navigational and other sytems for Patrol "That is most likely what she is doing. When we reach the bridge, I'll inform her of my decision"

I for one will relax when this whole mission is over, and I'm back on the Avenger. Parkerson is good, but not experienced. If they run into problems....

She smirks hearing Jon. How can you relax during a war? Chances are they will have us rotating with the USS Wisliceny.

Hearing them both she turned to Miria. Well I know the Admiral wold like to punch a few wholes in the Tholians. 2 Days ago he supervised a ship movement from the ASD Drydock. It looked very interesting.

He couldn't help but over hear, as his massive frame was way more then the standard seating in the Runabout, he opted to a heavier pilot set. If your talking about the very large cruiser that was moved to spacedock, I believe we may have a new weapon. From the looks of it, the warp core must bee massive. They probably have several of them.
