Solina stands and approaches the large monitor in the Observation Lounge. She then called up the latest sensor telemetry of the compound that was available for this mission.
"As you can see, the compound is fairly large, and the Remans have erected essentially a blockade around it to prevent anyone from coming out or getting in, outside of Reman troops.
The latest data on the compound puts the weapons research center over here..."
She points to the area she means.
"The strike team's beam down point will be here..."
She points to another area, one outside the defenses.
"Primary objectives for the strike team are as follows:
(1) Gain access to the compound without alerting the Reman security forces to our presence and disable the Reman sensors.
(2) Get to the weapons research area undetected by Reman troops or security checkpoints.
(3) If at all possible, capture the weapon that is being worked on. If that is not possible, then destroy it to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Remans.
(4) Activate pattern enhancers and transport back to the ship.
Once the Reman sensor system is disabled, we will have at most ten minutes to get to the weapon, either capture or destroy it, and get out before their system can be restored.
Using a surgical strike, I am fairly confident we can be in and out in eight minutes.
The Constitution's strike team participants will consist of myself, Lieutenants Karlassa and Pormea, and Commander Vatto.
For this mission, our strike team will be utilizing new equipment designed for missions considered too dangerous for traditional away teams. I will be picking out weapons necessary for this mission.
Any questions?[/b]"[/color]

Stroking his beard with his left hand.
Great plan, except my forces are pretty much stretched as it is. We can't give you much support except those Klingons that are still on the surface. They are lead by Col Jureth, he has been doing steady strikes against the Reman forces on the planet. But they have a supply line, and his troops which once numbered 1,500, are now down to a few hundred. I think that the honor of bringing back the weapon should fall to him, and his troops.

She shoots back a look to the General. If...this weapon can be extracted safely
Safely? Thats the problem with the Federation. You want to assist, but not take the risk.

General, I will not have bickering on how much blood is to be spilled. I'm shorthanded, and risking my people for your mistake. You hade 250 ships in this sector, and now you have 60 left. You lost nearly 400,000 soldiers, and they have captured a weapon that can cripple you, me, and both our navies! Now you have a choice General, either it's a Good day to die, or prepare your men to suffer the wrath of Fek'lhr!

Having a decent knowledge of Klingon behavior, she looks directly at the general, and uses appropriate tones to her voice.
"General... Given the time frame for the strike, and the urgency of keeping the weapon away from the Remans, it is impossible to guarantee that the honor would go to your comrades for the retrieval of the device. "

Actually, we will be taking out any aerial threats. They have set up fighter protection all around the ares. Thats why you have 20 minutes. From what we hear, the Remans weapon is just as deadly as the Tholians.

He mulls over the Admirals words as he hunches back, and listens to the rest of the report.

She looks back at the admiral.
"Understood. Any edge will prove valuable, but as you have reminded us, time will be against us just as much as the Remans."

Time will be against us. Thats why out team will be small. 5 Federation, and 5 Klingon. The General assure us that Colonel Jureth will be awaiting our signal when we beam in. From there we will charge the facility. Proceed to the Black Ops bunker. The weapon is located some 400 meters below the surface, so it's down the TL, and straight to the project. We will grab the weapon, and back up to the surface. As soon as we are clear of the bunker, we signal the ships, and get out of there. The Commodore Stone can mop up the area. Any questions?

Solina nods slowly.
"Each team member will have a full complement of stun grenades as well as heavier weapons. Trust me when I say that all of this equipment will be able to be stored securely.
Weaponry and equipment for each Constitution team member will consist of:
1 Type-2 hand phaser with auto-recharge power cell 1 Type-3 compression phaser rifle with three additional power packs 10 Class-3 stun grenades 10 EMP grenades for disabling enemy sensor systems and surveillance equipment found locally
I will go over the rest of the details for a few other features only with the team members once we get to the security locker room.
I have used this equipment before while aboard the Cosair, so if any questions arise, I'd be willing to answer them.
Each team member will be able to have secured communication with the Constitution on a special encoded frequency. That will enable our team to be monitored by the Constitution and they can get a transporter lock more rapidly after we activate our pattern enhancers.
This is intended as a stealth operation with components of a surgical strike."

Feeling a bit exhausted she looks about the table. It's settled then, we will go with the Commanders, and Lieutenant plan. We will begin the assault in 24hours. You all are dismissed. Doctor, I need to see you alone. She watches as all the others file out of her ready room. As the door closes, and Rayba looks at the Admiral with some concern she speaks. Doctor, I believe I'm suffering something, but don't want the crew to know. I've been feeling sluggish, and nausous of late. And I've gained some weight.

As she heard the Admiral, her curiosity began. She listened to the Admiral carefully as she grabbed her medical tricorder, and walked over to her, and began her scans. Perhaps the stress with all that has happened is affecting you....Admiral. May I ask a very personal question? When was the last time you had an....intimate contact with a human male?

Somewhat shocked at her line of questioning she looked at Rayna with all seriousness.
That was over 2 months ago. She then gasp in somewhat shock as she rememered. Oh no.....Rey Drek.

She stows her Tricorder and looks at the Admiral with concern. We need to run full scans in sickbay. From what I can tell on the Tricorder, your a little over 4 months pregnant.
