The Crusader is almost ready for it's first mission. After reviewing the crew I've assembled, I am sure we can put a dent in the pirate activity in the area. I also think I've found a friend on Star base 140 in the form of a Ferengi.
I sure he can get me some insight into what the Syndicate is doing in this area, and maybe we can crack them from the inside. My knowledge of the syndicate should be helpful in this pursuit as well. I just hope that all of Juraan is gone, it would be unfortunate if they pursued into this mess. For I will be the one to finally end their reign.

Lt Cdr Candela Greene Reporting
The Crusader made a sucessful launch from Starbase 140. We were to rendevouz with an incoming Romulan Freighter convoy. 3 hours into the Journey, Lt JG James detected something on the LRS. We identified it as a cloak ship. I was informed that a rouge Klingon Bird of Prey has been attacking Romulan Freighters in the area. Although they have been confirmed attacked by a BOP, they only took the cargo, and left survivors, which is not like a klingon.
We pursued the signal, and prepared for possible battle when a second energy signature was picked up. Apparently a Debri field, I instructed LtJG Love to go around it. Unfortunately, the stationary field started shadowing us. I fell for the oldest trick in the book, and now hoped we could out race what were probably temporal mines. They eventually caught us, and detonated. Fortunately, they were Electro Magnet Pulse, but we will be without power for 2 hours, and the BOP has it's sights on the convoy.

We got power restored, and went about investigating the Temporal mines, as well as seeing what damage the Bird Of Prey did to the convoy.
I assigned Ensign Allen to get everything he could out of an undetonated mine. Initial scans prove it to be of Dominion Technology, but I'm not satisfied with that. The weapons from the Dominion war are far too few to waste on us, although possibly replicated their are always markers from where certain components are made from.
We then found one lone freighter disabled from the Bird of Prey. Apparently the Convoy left in haste, and left the freighter to fend for itself. Lt James found 12 very low life signs, so I sent Lt Teshurr, and Ensign Love, as well as medical staff to render aid. All was well until a Klingon Cruiser entered our sector, and were closing fast.

I find this whole situation confusing. The Pirates got very sloppy this time. Mr Allen had found a Romulan Cloak inhibitor, and Dilithium crystal core from Corridan. As Mr Von Merr, and he puts this puzzle together, the Klingon Cruiser commanded by Captain H'roth added more suspicions, as he was looking for a Rouge Federation Runabout.
With this news, it seems that a possible incursion technology is being used from stolen Dominion technology, but it goes further. The Medical report from sickbay indicates their injuries were not life threatening, very unlike a Klingon. Then Teshurrs provided the Data Logs from the freighter thats shows that there were no detectable life signs on the Bird of Prey.
We are towing the freighter back to Starbase 140, hopefully we can get answers before we return there.

We held a briefing on the Bridge, and I'm afraid that the Admirals suspicions are correct. I still say that their may be others involved. To split up this alliance would be a Major blew to the stability in the Beta Quadrant.
I can't wait to get back to SB 140, and see what my Ferengi friend has found. I could use some Teeluki right now.

A day of celebration was proclaimed by Fleet Admiral Lucifel as it appears we are heroes. Yet I don't feel like one, I guess because I got caught in that stupid trap.
None the less, the crew deserve it. The awards, the promotions, and much more. I have the finest crew in the fleet, for now I will celebrate. But tomorrow, I need to find out who is behind these acts of Piracy.

Well, the first, and possibly last Crusader Day. Commander Teshurr, and LtJG Vonn Merr had a Brawl on Starbase 140 with 6 Romulans. To make matters worse, just about every other race got involved. I was very upset, and I took it out on the crew, cutting short thier liberty.
I plan to speak with the Commodore on this matter, but unfortunately I hear the Inspector General has arrived. I have 300 Bars of Gold Latinum I was saving for some more pleasurable needs, but I will take a lost to attempt to save 2 of my best officers. Besides, Mr Vonn Merr needs to find a way to protect us from these temporal mines.
I hate this part of command, I must be authoritive, but right now.....I'm scared to think what will happen to them.

What appeared to be a simple scouting mission ina relatively boring corner of the area, was truly a coded mission. After going over it a few times, I realize that she wants us to join up with the Klingon freightersm possibly to capture the pirate vessel.
This would be a major morale boost, and maybe we can make a difference in this sector.

It's been a grueling 3 hours, and I find my crew questioning the course change. Lt Von Merr, and Tremayne, as well as Lt Love have became suspicious of the course change, and are wondering what is to become of us.
With less then an hour to go, I must tell my trusted crew what we are attempting, to catch a pirate ship. The Admiral would keel haul me if she found out I told the crew, but I doubt they would willingly follow me disobeying direct orders. I told the Bridge crew, with direct orders not to reveal it to the rest of the crew.

We have been with the convoy for 4 hours. LtJG Loves helmsmanship should be commended, as they have no idea we are under the lead freighter. The crew is tight, and ready for action. Even Teshurr wants some payback for what they did to us a monthe ago.
Lt James has made contact with the pirates, as they begin to rush in. We intercepted a transmission to the Klingons that was a little.....disturbing. I saw my image, ordering them to lower thier shields, and prepare to be boarded. Apparently someone in starfleet have fed them information. Now I must figure who, and where, but this can wait until we deal with our Doppleganger.

We have engaged our dopplegangers. The crew performed well considering our adversary was a masked Orion Cruiser. Helm, and Tac performed well, as for the EMP mine diabling the pirate ship. We also recieved help from the Klingon freighter that destroyed an inbound torpedo that would of surely done some damage.
With the ship disabled, Commander Teshurr, Ensign Coal, Crewman Love, and a security team beamed over in hopes of retrieving some computer records, and a hostage. What frightens me, we have no life signs, which makes finding any danger on the ship impossible to find. We also hope that the ship is not scuttled while thay are on it, I ordered Lt James to keep a constant lock on them for that purpose.

These pirates are truly difficult. Their ability to mask thier life signs is a puzzle in itself. None the less, I sent Teshurr, and a security team over, and it was a trap.
The Pirate Captain, apparently a clone of myself, holding a trilithium bomb demanded 2 shuttles for her, and her crew. Apparently she never knew about the Joan of Arc.
I sent LtJG Love, and LtJG Von Merr on a mission to recover the Away Team, as we prepare to run a diversion, as well as try to recover that pirate ship. We lucked out, and retrieved the Shuttles, as well as the Pirates, and thier Captain, but the ship was lost in a trilithium blast, but hopefully the captures can provide the answers we need.
On a more personal note, the knowledge of Juraan that she mentioned has now have me suspecting that even though he was executed by the Romulans, that somehow they are still smuggling, and may be behind this Pirate scheme.

The ship had suffered damage from the explosion shockwave knocking out our warp drive, and our comm systems. Fearing that the explosion may have reached Star Base 140 sensors, I knew they would send out a ship to investigate.
I was more interested in our guest, the pirates. I went to sickbay to confur with the doctor. Apparently they have thier own self-destruct mechanism built into thier DNA. All but the Clone of me seem to have this Mnenomic RNA that can somehow be programmed to replicate Humanoid DNA. Our guest were a rouge gallery of aliens, making it undetermined who is truly behind all this, Hopefully the data from thier computer, and our cloned guset will be more forthcoming. Right now Number one is interrogating her.
Meanwhile, the bridge picked up 2 small ships approaching, apparently fedration fighters. Unable to communicate, they believe that we are responsible for the explosion, as well the attack on the convoy. The only action I could think of was to cut power, and play dead. Fortunately LtJG Morgan understood, just in time for LtJG Tremayne to get the Comm system up and running.

I find myself being judged due to the appearance of this clone. It's been 3 days since we captured her, and still I refuse to see her. Soon she will be transfered to the Station, yet I have no answers for the Admiral, not even a name. I called Commander Teshurr to escort me to the Brig, and to see if we could get some answers. From the outset, she was very cooperative. She admits that the Juraan is some how behind this, and that Juraan and his henchmen are dead. She also stated she was a trustee of the Juraane smuggling ring, and there is some one in charge named Seead. And that they want me back in the fold.
She also mentioned something about allies, which explained how they accumulated these weapons, and cloaking systems. A race called Zentradi, that apparently want this sector of spce. But before I could probe this further, a large shockwave shook the ship, and knocked out power.

The situation on the Crusader is dire to say the least, but I had to find out what happened and who was behind it. Working with Ensign Frost, we tracked the origination in the sickbay. I sent Teshurr to help with casualties.
We then worked on retracing the blast. Anything we could find out was important, but we were assured that the same RNA destruct mechanism was involved. Somehow, E'lita may have triggered it, none the less the Crusader was toast. It shorted out ever system, and burnt out numerous EPS conduits. It will be weeks until the Crusader would launch.
We tracked the origins of this pheonomena to the Delta Triangle. An area last explored some 100 years ago. One thing is for certain, the Crusader will be of little use to us now. I ordered the crew to evacuate, as the Crusader goes into repairs.
