She skips the pastries, as she takes her seat and nods gently to the Admiral. She did however grab a cup of tea to sip on as she eyes the PADD before her.

She checks the time, and then rises from her seat, still gripping her PADD.
OK, now we all are here. First I want to start off with an communique from Starfleet, from Admiral Janeway.
After the USS Federation current mission, Admiral Vanessa Ann Lucifel is ordered to take command of the 14th fleet from Starbase 140. The command of the USS Federation will be given to the officer of her choice, and will be operating as the flagship of the 14th.
With that said, I will be handing command to our first officer. Captain Sonya Gomez.

He walked in to the conferance room with the lovely Captain Gomez on his arm and a smile on his face. He walked with her over to the pastry table and looked at the different selections. Finding one he loved, a strawberry danish, he would officer one to Sonya, who took it with a delighted smile
Getting himself acoffee, he went over and sat at the table and waited for the Admiral to begin
She listened to what she had to say and smiled as she turned the floor, and command, over to Captain Gomez

As far as our mission? We are to meet up with delegates from the Tholian Union. They say they have proof of ownership to Cestus IV predating the Federation/Gorn agreement of 2268. The latest intel from Starfleet Intelligence say they have been in an arms buildup. Acquiring weapons through the Orion syndicate. Some possibly "Zentradi" in nature. What I'm, about to tell you is classified, and will not leave this office. On this PADD is the combined research on "Protoculture". Between 8 independent studies, it is no more then a unstable protien. Yet when combined into one, it has the smae make up as a stable Omega Particle. Most of you know the dangers of Omega, and if used can spell the end of Space travel as we know it. Our mission is two fold. Investegate their claim, and destroy any detection of the Omega particle.

As she munches on a Scone, she reads the PADD with intrest.
Captain if this is correct, the information has been known to Starfleet about Protoculture for over a year. This information could be very valuable on the black market, and would explain a number of Orion Syndicate activities in the Beta, and Alpha Quadrant.

Even worse. Suppose the Borg get wind of this. Perhaps even....a Borg/Zentradi war.

Worse then that Lieutenant. If the Federation has knowledge of this, the Borg will redouble their efforts on assimilating the Alpha, and Beta Quadrants.

That is our worse fear as of now doctor. We have seen the after affects of a Protoculture detonation on Starbase 140. Notice, we are still warp capable. But just like it attracted the Zentradi, the fear is others will attract the Borg. Lieuntenat T'hpok, and Jensen. I want you two to work with the Science department on detecting Transwarp conduits. Lt M'Pel has gone over my logs on the USS Expedition we collected over 10 years ago. Hopefully that will be a start.

Staying silent to a point as she glosses over the PADD.
Usually a high concentration of Nuetrinos are associated with the formation of these condiuts. The last reported sighting of a Borg ship was in 2385 in Romulan Space. The likely hood they would appear in Tholian Space are least likely.

If there is nothing further then I call this meeting. We should be in Tholian space in 3 Hours. Captain Gomez, inform me when we reached our coordinates to Rendezvous with the Tholians. Dismissed.

Once the meeting has ended, Thpok walks over to Lt. Jensen.
Lt. Jensen...I need to cleck in on my watch....but in 20 minutes I will meet you in the Science Lab to start work. Well that be a problem?
Thpok is used to working with other Klingons and given them order and having them follow. But here on a Federation ship..things are different. He has been told here that he most ask and not just give orders. Thpok is still getting use to all these Umen and other non-Klingons around him.

He sat and listened to the meeting, not having much input. His interest peaked when a possible war could break out with the Zentrati and the Borg, or worse yet, The Borg could re-double there efforts to assimilate the Alpha and Beta quadrants "Not on my shift" he muttered to himself
He looked toward the Admiral when she spoke his name and she told him, and Th'Pok, that they should work with the Science department on detecting Transwarp conduits. Lt M'Pel has gone over my logs on the USS Expedition we collected over 10 years ago. Hopefully that will be a start.
He looked over at M'Pel for a moment then back to the Admiral "Yes, Admiral. I'll do what I can do assist the Science department"
When the meeting was dismissed, he turned to the Captain and was going to ask if she wanted to get a quick bite to eat ith him before everyone got busy but he heard T'hPok from behind him
He turned and faced the honorable warrior "Ghobe', that will not be a problem, T'hPok" He then gave him a hard playful slap on the chest "Good to see your alive and kicking. Havent seen you since the Korgoth" He gave a grin to the big man

T'hPok smiles as his friend hit him on the chest.
It is also good to see you once more my friend. I am glade we will be serving together on this vessal. And now the thought of going off to war...what else could two fine young warriors wish for?
A loud Klingon laughs come from T'hPok.
We will then meet in 20 minutes...in the lab.
T'hPok looks over at Captain Gomez and then back to Jensen.
I hope what you need to do can be done in 20 minutes....little one.
With that T'hPok nods to Jensen and heads out of the meeting.

He laughed with T'hpok, but not as boisterously, or loud." Indeed, war builds character and honor for those that take the hearts of their enemy"
Hija, I will meet you in the lab in twenty minutes"
He noted his looking towards Captain Gomez and he arched a brow slightly. Did T'hpok know of his interest of the lovely Captain or is he interested in her himself?
He watched as he turned and left and he smirked to himself "Little one"? he said then chuckled to himself
He turned back to Sonya and waited for a moment of her time

With the meeting breaking up, she stood a moment and look to the Admiral.
Admiral. This ship will never be the same without you.
noting a smile on the Admiral face and her eying something, she looked confused, and then turned to see T'hpok, and Jensen checking her out, in which she smiled. Hearing Troys request she strolls over.
[n]Lieutenant. How may I help you?[/b][/color]
