"Computer, begin personal log, Security Chief Anise Shelaas:
Since my transfer to the Crusader, things have been remarkably busy. Little did I know what I was getting into when I agreed to take this assignment.
I had also been told by the Symbiosis Commission that I'd find a field docent on the Crusader, but I have yet to. I'm wondering if she might have transferred off for some strange reason. I'm debating on asking the captain about that.
Things have been a bit crazy otherwise.. We found a museum piece for the Starfleet vessel museum out here, in the form of the USS Ptolmey. To my great surprise, she was well preserved and as far as I could tell, she was in near-pristine condition. How that ship found itself in the region known as the Delta Triangle, though, is beyond me. If the captain gives me permission, I'd like to go over the Ptolmey's logs.
On the Ptolmey, we did find a purple-skinned alien. Unfortunately, I have not been properly briefed on who or what that person is, outside of being a clone of a Starfleet officer. I do know that he could grow to mammoth proportions, probably almost as tall as a starship warp reactor core. He had drawn us into the heart of the Triangle and near as I can tell, he kidnapped all the female members of our crew, myself included. For what purpose outside of wanting to mate with us, I don't know, and I'm not sure I want to know... Suffice it to say, it brought back some very unwanted memories of what happened to me by an upperclassman while I was at the Academy, who did not know how to take 'No' for an answer.
Little did I know that this alien was telepathic, until he started using his abilities on me.. According to the doctor, it seems that his brand of telepathy was incompatible for me. I think that would explain my intense headache.
It seems that my interest in Federation history proved invaluable to get us out of our predicament. I hope I can make use of that talent as well as my other skills while here. I'm not sure how, but it'd be neat if sports prowess or music could help us out on a mission."
With that last statement, she would burst out laughing. It would be a couple of minutes before she could calm herself back down and continue her log entry.
"So far, I'd like to think that I've made a good impression on Captain Greene and my crewmates. I've met some of the crew, and I hope I can get to know the rest of my shipmates.
Computer, end log entry..."
