"Acting First Officer's log, stardate 66344.3:
Log entry by Lieutenant Anise Shelaas...
Following the departure of the Avatar, we've resumed our course for the position of the starship Japan. However, we've received information from the cargo vessel Deauville about unusual gravimetric sheer in the same vicinity.
Fearing a problem, I've given the order to assume a defensive stance and to increase speed. As of yet, there has been no word from the Japan... Hopefully they're alright.
Computer, end log entry..."

Personal Log Lt. Cmdr Teshurr XO of the Crusader.
We have started our mission for Demias III. I have just gone over the mission with the crew. I do belief the mission to be a dangous one, but the people I have pick are the best of what they do and I belief they give us the best chnace to get it done. I am surw we will find what we are looking for on Demias. But I am also sure we will find the Marqui too. I have read the last few reports from Starfleet and those people are still fighting the war. I belief we will get no help from them and maybe even run into trouble if we encounter them. But we need to get any and all intell back to Starfleet or I could only see doom for us all.

"Acting First Officer's personal log, supplemental:
Log entry by Lieutenant Anise Shelaas...
After finding the wreckage of both the USS Japan and now the cargo vessel Deauville, I believe that we may be in line to find who or what attacked them. Given the observations so far as to the speed of the attacks, whoever would attack an Excelsior-class ship and a cargo vessel must not care about any existing treaties, and that they have an extremely powerful weapon.
The captain is interested in learning who is behind these brutal attacks. In all honesty, I am, too, from a tactical and security perspective. However, I am willing to curb that curiosity if it means preserving the Crusader and her crew from falling victim to the same fate that our comrades met...
With our investigation apparently becoming dangerous for us, I can't help but wonder about our away team. I can only hope they're alright, and that we'll find them alive and well, assuming we survive to meet back up with them...
I know these are not the thoughts proper for an officer, but given what we have seen in our investigation, I hope we survive...
Computer, end log entry..."
