Commander Log Commodore M. Gunn
I have now been in command of Starbase 140 for a little over a month. Work is ahead of schedule right now, but we may be falling behind if I don't get more work personal from Starfleet. I have talk to the Admiral about this and she is looking into it for me. I am hoping she will have some pull to get me those worker.
I have recieve my first officer under my command. It is the new Chief of Security. An Ensign Amber Livington. Reading her Starfleet and military record she looks to be a fine officer. I will need many more like her to get this place up to speech with Starfleet.
I also found that I have a problems that the new chief maybe able to help with. I have been told by the Admiral that there is a spy on the station. Someone who is working against Starfleet in this sector. As many know the Beta Quadrant has become a powderkeg for many reasons. And I find that we maybe pull very thin with the few ships we have. For that reason I thing Starbase 140 will need to be up and running faster then the fleet wishes it to be. Gunn get a call in his quarter....
I will end log now. Commodore Gun out.

Supplemental:
It has been some time since my last report...offlical or personal. I didn't think this station would have taken that much of my time up. But it has done so. Just to start off with....I did get a promotion to Admiral, I would think that would make the folks back home happy. As for me..well lets say I still see me as that "simple country doctor" back home in upstate New York. I also missed the days back in the OR and went my shift was done...hanging out and have some drinks, and some small talk with close friends. Now went my day is done..I still have that drink...but don't have the close friends around to talk with. And yes....it is lonely at the top. My Senior Staff is coming along. I am trying to fill up the last of the opening left by the old crew and their commander. I must say those who haven't been replace are hanging about till they do. As for my new staff...most are pretty young and very wet behind the ears. But they have shown me that they have all the stuff that makes a good Starfleet personnel. That is officers and enlisted

Supplemental
I have fallen behind onmy reports. I will need to catch up in the next few days. But I did need to log this in. This night Admiral Robert Sherry from Starfleet Command contact me. He ask me if I would like to take Command of Starfleet Medical. A job that most command doctor could only dream about. I have thought about that that job every since I made Commodore and went I was passed over twice for it. I lost any hope of getting it. But now I am thinking this is some joke being play on me. But Bob Sherry tell me that in now way this is any kind of a joke. Now I have two weeks to think about the job. Do I take the job of my dreams or do I stay here. At this time I am not sure what way to turns. I wish my two brothers were around to speak with. Mike and Tony were alway there went I needed them. They would alway show me the way to head...the right way. But since I lost both of them back in the Dominion Wars, I feel I have lost my ways too. So for now I will need to battle with myself...stay or go.

Commander Log Admiral Maxwell Gunn
I will start this off with this: I will be staying on here at Starbase 140 and not taking the job at Head of Starfleet Medical.
As for what is going on the station. Things are getting back to normal...well trying to get back. My Number #1...strick that....I hate using that phase "Number #1"...she is a person.
Captain Naru has take over her role as the XO of the station. She is more then up to the task or running the everyday things on the station. My only problem is that I hope the Fleet Admiral doesn't give Capatin Naru her own ship. That would be my biggest lost.
I am going to speak with the Fleet Admiral and ask her if I could promote someone from within to take over as CMO till Starfleet Command can come up with one for the station. I want Commander Satok to take over for now, He is a Vulcan and is head of the Surgical Dept. here on SB 140. I can't come up with a better doctor or officer to run this medical station then Satok. I have known him for over 20 years. Nothing more should be said.

The base is getting back to somewhat normal. I have started settling down the new crew and find that the station is running at about 90%...we still need need to work out some bugs in engineering and security. We have recieve four new Defiant class ship to help out here with convoy and security around the Starbace.
