Overview of the Starbase
Starbase Componments
The starbase is named Starbase 140 consisting solely of a Delta-type orbital complex near the Federation/Cestus System border in the Beta Quadrant. Resembling a giant floating mushroom, Delta-type are the largest design in the Starfleet inventory. They are 2,000 to 3,000 decks tall, sleek and smooth with their completely internalized vessel maintenance areas. Most of the operation and crew lounge areas are located at the top of the station. Directly below this array of the domes & communications antennas is the massive head complex, within are housed the various vessels currently docked at the starbase and accessable via 6 gargantuan sets of spacedoors. Windows on the inside rim and central core give a wondrous view of fleet repairs and docking activities. The lower cylindrical areas house engineering, support, power generation and maintenance-related facilities, plus anywhere from deck 26 to 42 there are independent shuttlebays.
