Shop until you drop!
Now we get paid for our services in Latinum.
By Fleet Admiral Vanessa Lucifel.
Well here's some good news for all, and just in time for Christmas. Effective Stardate 63931.05 all members in the GF will earn pay, in the form of Latinum. It seems Commander Wilson has thought up an idea to get members to post. A good idea at that for every 1 post you make 10 strips of Gold Pressed Latinum. Now that's great but what can you do with it? Why go shopping!
Well if you look at the navigation bar below the banner after you sign in, you will notice a new icon. That is the GF Shop where you can buy all manner of weapons, clothing, food, even a starship. There are many categories, and many items to purchase with some being added each day.
Plus there are other incentives such as pay. All XO, and CO's, as well as CS members will now be paid for their services, this includes department administrators. The proposed pay schedule looks like this.
Fleet Admiral - 300 latinum/monthly
Admiral - 275 latinum/monthly
Vice Admiral - 250 latinum/monthly
Rear Admiral - 225 latinum/monthly
Commodore - 200 latinum/monthly
Fleet Captain - 175 latinum/monthly
Commanding Officer - 150 latinum/monthly
Executive Officer - 100 latinum/monthly
Department Administrators (Cdr and below) - 100 latinum/monthly
With Latinum comes accumulation, the next frame will show you Commander Wilson as an example. She has 215 strips of Latinum, notice you can even donate her some. She also purchased a PADD, a Combadge, and a cup of coffee. Don't know what you purchased? Well check your profile, a breakdown of what you purchased will be found just below you Signature. As you see I've pampered myself to a few.....necessities.
In time you will want to trade in an item, but buyer beware, there is a trade in price (I guess Frankie came up with that). If you look up at the items above, lets say a Green Jewel, it cost 500 strips of latinum, but trade in value is only 345 strips. So Buyer Beware, after all we humans aren't use to money (yeah right). So you want to get that perfect Christmas gift, or just looking for a fast shuttle, stop by the shop, and post, post, POST!
The Next Live SIM
By Fleet Admiral Vanessa Ann Lucifel
It was only a matter of time before we got our next live SIM. A lack of CO's is our problem at the moment with time available to SIM, but I had once ace up my sleeve. I will assume command of the USS Federation, a Sovereign Class Starship. The Federation will be a Deep Space explorer, as well as a battle cruiser that will explore and protect the Federation, and her allies.
The Federation will be actively recruiting for a Start date in January 2007, Thursdays at 8:30 PM EST. So far she has a crew of 4;
CO Fleet Admiral Vanessa Ann Lucifel
XO Commander Cotton J Lynch
TAC/SO Admiral Ashley Morgan
OPS Lt Rol'yat

Notes : With the advent of the Dominion war it was felt that the Sovereign would need more firepower to compete with Dominion designs. Most especially, the rearward torpedo coverage was felt to be a little lacking. As a result Starfleet decided to proceed with an uprated version of the ship.
Three extra aft facing photon torpedo tubes were added, along with two more forward facing tubes; a twin launcher aft of the bridge, a single launcher above the aft hangar deck, a single launcher at the base of the bridge terracing, and a single launcher near the bow. Additionally, four extra phaser arrays were added to the nacelle pylons.
The photon torpedo handling system had to be redesigned, which increased the stowage capacity from 300 to 350. This was considered more than adequate for most threats, although with so many tubes available there was a real danger of running out of torpedoes in a major battle.
As well as the increased weapons, the weapon range and accuracy was increased by installing the latest sensor and fire control systems, and the shield capacity was increased by about 25%. This gave the Sovereign an excellent capacity to withstand heavy fire in a battle. Some thought was given to increasing top speed, but this was abandoned.
The Sovereign class Enterprise-E was able to test out the new systems in 2379 when it faced the Reman ship Scimitar. Although the Scimitar greatly outgunned the Enterprise, the Starfleet ship did comfortably outperform the Romulan Norexan class warbirds in the battle. The ship did eventually run out of photons and exhaust its phasers, but it took a considerable degree of battle damage and remained at least partially operational.
Should the Romulans continue to produce the Scimitar class ships, Starfleet will be faced with considerable difficulties. It is possible that an even more uprated version of the Sovereign could be produced, but a completely new and much more powerful vessel may be required.

WE NEED KLINGONS!
The Generation Fleet will be sporting a Klingon Fleet, as of now, we have none. If you know of anyone that's up to the challenge to command a Klingon ship, have them stop by. We take Klingons from all eras, so if they want to Battle the Federation, or seek past glory in the Cardassian, or Dominion war, or join our current struggle.
