Post by Admiral Ashley Morgan on Jun 17, 2009 13:51:04 GMT -5
This is Vice Admiral Ashley Morgan of the Starship USS Constitution.
Today....will live in infamy. The Combined civilizations of the Alpha, and Beta Quadrant stand united against an enemy who prove gated an attack on their neighbors for no valid reason.
Today, the Tholians, and the Remans, using a new type of technology laid waste to over 1,000 ships. Killed Millions. Destroyed military, and civilian installations. They have attacked and occupied 14 planetary systems. And laid waste to nearly 50 shipyards.
The Romulan, and Cardassian Governments are in shambles as their capitals were destroyed. Many of our friends, loved ones, and fellow officers are dead. Including Admiral Vanessa Ann Lucifel.
By order of Starfleet Command, I have been promoted to the rank of Full Admiral, and placed as Acting Commander in Chief of the 14th Fleet. This is a honor I take with deep regret.
As we speak now, our home port is in shambles. Cestus Ship Yards has been decimated. The USS Challenger.....destroyed in dry dock. Of the 28 ships that fought in the battle, only 2 remained battle ready. We are now speeding to the Archanis system to render aid to the Klingons and uproot the Tholian Occupation there. The USS Columbia will hopefully find the USS Federation, and her crew, in hopes that the Admiral has survived. My standing orders are.
- All ships that are damaged are to be placed in Dry dock, and repaired, and placed back in service immediately.
- All fighting vessels will join up with us in the Archanis system.
- Vice Admiral Maxwell Gunn will assume all fleet operations in recovering data from the Tholians ships, and pass along intelligence to defeat these heathens.
- All Science vessels, and Deep space exploration vessels are ordered to continue their mission. If confronted by any of the enemy forces, they are to do get intelligence of fleet actions, and report. If you have an opportunity to score a blow, then please do so.
I am not worthy of the burden of this command on such a sad date. But mind you all, we will avenge the Challenger, and punish those who saw to her destruction.
Morgan out.

The long pause on the bridge is broken by a comment from her. I noticed they said acting CinC. There must be hope for the Admiral after all.

Hearing her sisters words, her mind wanders a bit to other sister. She has heard nothing about Stephanie in awhile. She then turns to Damien. Sir. May I suggest we coordinate with the Alliance, and Magellan, as more ships arrive, and join the fleet in Archanis.

Agreed number one. Oh, and see about your sister, and get us some supplies, we will be needing them. Ariel contact SB140, tell them we'll be sending a team. Number one, Jezra, Kadan your with me. D'real, you have the Con. With that the 4 made their way to the TL and the Transporter room.

As she listened to the Admiral's words her heart sank deep. She closed her eyes only for a moment, her heart aching deeply. A hole was forming there and it felt like it would never be filled again. Hopelessness washed over her only for a second and then she pushed these feelings aside to do her job. She watched her display and finally it stopped its scans and beeped at her. Lifting a delicately arched brow she read her results. With this, she turned to face the one left in charge, Lt. D'Real, with her findings.
"Lieutenant, I have completed my scans thus far, cross referencing with LCARS. It seems in that structure of their vessel there is remnants of a molecular substructure with the following properties: Nobolium, Cadium....and the rest of them I cannot ascertain." She stopped to collect her thoughts, her eyes having been trained on the display in front of her. She then looked to meet D'Real's gaze. "This complete molecular substructure, which I may add is quite fascinating, is the exact same one that Dr. E'Lita Jarani, formerly of the USS Crusader, discovered and studied. It is referred to by her as Protoculture. At the end of the addendum she has several footnotes on Protoculture if you wish to see them, Lieutenant."
Cordy's brow rose at this and she then turned to her console again to send the findings over to D'Real for her analysis and thoughts.

Listening to Cordelias report, she was shocked how thorough it was. She also pulled memories of being in the suspension tank as she sees her fellow crew mates in other tanks, and the large plubmish Zentradi glaring at her, and the others. As she pauses she responds.
This is troubling. How did the Tholian obtain a substance that only the highest officials had any access to?

It is possible that the information may of been accessed by the clone of Commander Kramer, and Captain Greene. But that would point to a Orion Syndicate connection.

Cordy nodded to agree with Wrenn's matter-of-factly answer. It made perfect sense. Before being stationed on the Striker, she'd been briefed about the abduction of Captain Greene, Lt. Kramer, and Lt. D'Real. It took a lot of time for her to study up on it, but she got it down.
"Exactly, Lieutenant, since these clones were unlike traditional clones that do not retain memories of their predecessors. These clones seem to have even copied memories and experiences of the three abductees. Given that the clones were created by the Talosians, the loyalties of these clones would be with them due to basic Psychology. They would have helped their parents in any way they could."

She raises an eyebrow.
That has yet to be proved. Commander Teshurr became friends with one of these clones. It seems our interaction with them can also affect their decision, as he helped Teshurr, Captain Greene, and Lt Kramer to escape. Also, the Nova clone seems to have an obsession with the smuggler named Juraan. Thus it is obvious who is at the center of all of this.

Cordy turned and raised her thinly plucked brow to D'Real, hands still trained over the brightly lit keypad in front of her. She absorbed the Vulcan's words and began routing through it in her mind..
"That is true, Lieutenant." She said to D'Real. "Of course they have free will. I just think that the two I mentioned before have not had the proper interaction to bias their actions." With that she shrugged, unsure if that was true or not, but it seemed the most logical suggestion at the present date. "Whom do you think is the center of all of this, Lieutenant?" She then added quickly, turning back to her console, eyebrows now furrowed in concentration and thought to the current topic.

Captains Log; Stardate 66615.95
We are on our way to the Archanis system with an armada of ships led by Commodore Matt Stone on the USS Magellan. We are to meet up with the USS Constitution, and USS Sutherland. Ibitial reports have a nest of Tholian, and Reman forces holding Archanis 3 hostahe, but there is no Intel on any other outlaying systems that may already be under Tholian control. Major Marone has taken an advance squadron out to look for any signs of Tholian occupation ahead as we are 3 days away from Rendezvous.

As he steps off the TL he looks over to Jezra, and then D'Real as he then heads over to the Engineering station and brings up the systems. He then looks to Kadan.
Things a bit Quiet today. Has Commodore Stone been his usual cheerful self?

As they reach the T'Lem system jack sighs and sits back in his chair. " How are you feeling Leech?" He taps the console trying to run a scan of the surrounding area hoping to pick up any enemy ships, "Do you have anything on the sensors at all?"

She checks her sensors, and them with a skeptical expression. All clear, just stray Ion trails weeks old. But from what I hear, these Tholians are using a new type of propulsion. I hope we find something to satisfy Commodore Stone. He seems ready destroy the whole Tholian fleet.
