Yes Captain...I think you can. There no one on this station I feel safer with then you.
Your first order of business will to get Captain Crio and Ryan ready for action. We have have alot of work to do in a short peroid of time. We should see if we can make contact with the Federation.
Is there anything else you need before I head over to the Victoria?

Well, I can meet with the Siovan, and Klingon Ambassafor. Also they are get anxious about that report from S'Jenes on Cestus IV at the Federation Council. We need that report like Yesterday.

She looks at Carina, and her eyes twinkle and change color slightly, her version of a silent belly laugh at the 'jarhead' remark.
"You know my feelings on marines.. If you're going to be here for a while, I'll happily give you the details."
She looks back at the ambassador.
"Ma'am, I hope we're not boring you, or making you feel uncomfortable. Commander Abia and I are good friends, and have served together for a long time on one of our ships. Since I came here, I haven't had opportunity to catch up."

As the other two females spoke, Teyla and her friend, she tried to keep her attention out of the conversation, but she couldn't help but curl her tail a bit at the 'jarhead' comment
She turned to Teyla as she spoke to her. "That's quite alright, Lt. I understand that you and your friend have not seen each other in some time and would like to catch up when your duties permit. I do not feel the least bit uncomfortable."
She then turned to Teyla's friend, Commander Abia Teyla called her "Pleased to make your aqaintence, Commander"

He waited in Ops to see Admiral Gunn, hoping to get to the Columbia before long, as he's kinda eager to go aboard.

With her business done, she smiled as she exited the Admirals Ready room into Ops, and first spots Captain Ijoula.
Captain, sorry to keep you waiting. Seems I went in a Commander, and came out in charge of the Starbase.

He was a bit surprised, and nods at Morgan, with a bit of a smile.
"Then I suppose congratulations are in order. That sounds like quite a task ahead of you, one I think you'll be up to." he said, trying to encourage her.
"I was told I needed to check in with the admiral before I made my way to Columbia. Is he available, or am I to get my briefing from you?"

She nods to the Ambassador.
May I add Ambassadir that you are possibly the most beautiful Representative for the Federation. The returning her attention to Teyla. I wish I had the time. I'm here to pick up our coordinates , and we're off to some sector deep in the Beta Quadrant. By the way, Evelyn misses you. Seems ever since you left, she hasn't been the same. But you know her. Throw a cute guy at her, and.....well you know.

Hands the Captain a PADD. Well, he passed the Buck to me, and I have your orders. Until further notice, we need the Columbia up and running within 72 hours. Right now, your the Number one Combantant in this sector. You will form up with Vice Admiral Gunn on the Vindicator, and Captain Hill on the Challenger. We will also have the USS Intrepod, and Avenger. Cross your fingers on the Striker, they are still MIA at Zargus. Any questions?

She gives Carina a look of pouting, one that she rarely used, without a good reason. In this case, she wished she could visit with her former crewmates on the Aurora.
"We still have coded subspace, then, right? I wish I could get back to see you and the rest of the crew. You have no idea how much I miss the Aurora.
And as for the marines, one of them has become a Klingon pain stick lodged in my side, from the very start. He knew my name before I could introduce myself, and acted like his relief for security was finally here, after what might've been a month of running it by himself. If I had've been anymore irritated than I had gotten, he would've been in the medical bay here for a while..
So far, I have solved a good mystery, though, one worthy of being a holonovel."

He nods slowly, taking in his orders.
"What exactly are we going to be up against? And how many of my new crew have come to the Columbia?"
He hoped they at least had half of their maximum crew complement, so that they were at decent operating status.
"Also, what about a proper shakedown? Or is this going to be a shakedown by battle?"
He deep down hoped that it wouldn't be the latter...

She gives her a sly smile, as the Turbo Lift finally comes to a halt.
Well I'm sure they will keep you busy here. As I told you. When you apply yourself good things happen. And if we don't get going soon, you'll never recieve a single subspace message. We have to drop the crew off at Relay Station 7635.

She was surprised as the doors open at the Ops level, and she steps out, leading the ambassador and Carina out of the lift.
"That's a valid point.." she told her friend.
She strode toward Captain Morgan.
"Lieutenant Teyla reporting in, ma'am. May I present Ambassador Tail-Kinker~to~Sivao. Also, a former crewmate of mine from the Aurora, Commander Carina Abia."
She did also notice another captain on the deck, one she was sure she'd never seen before. This one was a Trill, like her best friend form the Aurora.

Captain, these are all good questions. 90% of your crew is accounted for, as well as some personell from the Dry Dock. As for shakedowns, your time has expired. Lets just hope they repaired your Warp core, and it stays intact. For whom we're facing? It could be Tholians, it could be Romulans, it could be Zentradi. But whom ever it is, we are stocking you ship with all the munitions you need to go toe to toe. All other intelligence is on the PADD. The sooner your get out of Drydock, the sooner you can brief your crew.

He had to sigh a bit at that, admittedly not liking flying into a combat situation without having tested all main systems including engines, defenses, weapons, and the like.
"Alright. Please tell me her weapons and shields are working well, and that we at least have impulse engines... The last thing I want is to be a sitting duck just waiting to be taken out."
