Manages a bit of a smile.
"You heard correctly, Lieutenant... Pormea.."
She had a hard time saying Pormea as that's a very weird name for her to hear.
"I look forward to learning the ins and outs of this ship."

She escorts LTCdr Mileke outside the Transporter room.
The Constitution is a big ship. Practically 3 in one. I am the Bridge Officer, meaning I qualify on ever section of the Connie in multiple roles/ It's not really necessary with Vector defense, but you can say I'm driven to be the best, if I can that is. So don't be surprised if we are working close together. I'm kind of a Jack of all trades as the Commander would say.
Reaching the Turbo Lift the doors slide open.

She would nod, having given the transporter chief the coordinates for her belongings to be beamed to her new quarters.
Walking along with the talkative lieutenant, she nodded slowly, taking in what she was saying.
"I like a good tactical challenge. Coordinating three ships at once will prove to be one of the biggest I've ever faced.
I look forward to working with you."
She takes in features of the ship as they walk, to note anything she can use for her memory.

As they boarded the Turbo lift, s/he was trying hir best to make small talk.
I believed when I read your file you served on the USS Magellan. A Galaxy class, must of been a challenge in itself. Tell me, is Captain Hornsby still in command?
Taking a hint from Lieutenant Mitchen "Just because you don't know someone personally, you never know when you will meet them at all".
Last I heard, they were surveying the Hobarts Nebula in system H-421?

She would nod once.
"The Magellan's a big ship, and running tactical for a ship that big is a challenge. She's extremely well armed, so that helped me greatly. I don't think she had more than one or two blind spots in the weapons arcs.
As of two months ago, Captain Hornsby was still in command. And before I was informed I was being sent to another ship, I was looking forward to the Hobarts Nebula expedition. It was supposed to be a scientific mission, one that would give the security teams some time to relax a bit from regular duties and maybe take time for some additional training.
I did ask the captain to send me pictures from the nebula."

[color-gold]Well, if t make you feel any better, our ultimate destination is Deep Space 6. Maybe we will get some time to explore the Gelis Expanse.
She then paused with all running in her mind that the Admiral told her earlier. The TL comes to a halt on deck 2, and the doors slide open.
This way Commander.

As they reach the Admiral Ready room, one can sense there have been words. Just before the Ensign entered, the Admiral paused and turned to her.
Ensign, please wait here until you are called. Thank you.
Watching her response, the door shuts, and sh turns to Commodore Maddox.
Admiral, this is highly uncalled for. I will be sending a Transmission to Admiral Lucifel about you shameful treatment of....
Commodore! Have a seat please.
Finally he sits looking miffed and stewed. She takes her big comfy chair behind the desk.
Commodore, I am not a fool, so don't treat me as one OK? Just answer my questions. Is Rayna Maddox a Soong type android.
No. She is original, and unique. What is out there is the culmination of nearly 20 years of hard work Admiral.
But she is not your daughter?
Well, not my biological daughter no.
Commodore. My knowledge on Androids is kind of sketchy at best. I never met Captain Data, but I am up to date on many of his logs. So tell me Commodore, and I getting an off the shelf android like a data? Does she have a personality? An identity? I need something about her to know before I let someone a crew of my ship.
Admiral, I assure you, my daught....I mean Rayna is no off the shelf android. She has emotions. Her choice of gender, and species is her own as well. From what I am told she has a sparkling personality. Not heavy with the differences between androids and human. She can even process the slightest things we take for granted. Touch, smell, taste. Yes taste, as she can eat food Admiral. She has friends, family, all of which makes her more an individual, then a machine.
What about her Academy training? Her years in Starfleet Medical? From what I read she is only 7 years old Commodore. What kind of officer am I getting?
I assure you Admiral. She took the Starfleet psychological at age 4, and passed. She complete Academy Training in 9 months. Starfleet Medical in just over 2 years. She has all the known medical techniques in the Galaxy, as well as the most extensive knowledge from the Doctor of the USS Voyager as well.
And her emotions? How she acquired that.
A combined effort Admiral, from her Godfathers.
Ashley raises an eyebrow at this.
Godfathers?
Professor Lewis Zimmerman, Commodore Reginald Barclay, Captain Geordi LeForge, and Captain Beverly Crusher. Oh and Captain Data of course. All instrumental in doing what was thought mechanically impossible. What we did was an experimental procedure. After 2380 when we successfully re initialized Data's neural net in the B4 unit, we found that his neural net contain no less then 17 trillion separate pathways of information. It was these pathways we copied, and reinitialized in Rayna, except we removed the Data engrams, leaving us 40 million pathways to understand, we realized that 75% of these pathways were the emotions that Data's child, Lal. Using that we had the basis to reinitialize her as her own individual.
This is all a bit over my head Commodote, but if I read correct, Lal had a catastrophic nueral net collapse in 2366.
True, but now some 20 years later we have found new ways of preventing this. Understand this Admiral, my worse fear was transferring her positronic mind into her body. I doubt I could take the pain of watching her perish. But with the fail safe routine we got from the B4 unite, that were also incorporated in Data, and Lore, we now had a blue print written by Doctor Soong himself.
OK tell you what Commodore. I need a Chief Medical officer, and at the moment I have little to no reason not to accept her. But the fact is she has no personal file. Give me a few moments alone with her, that's all I ask.
Fair enough Admiral, I'll wait in the Lounge if that's OK.
With that he stands and exits, as Rayna sees the Admirals waving her in, she walks in and stands semi relaxed.
Have a seat Ensign.

As she enter she watches her father exit, and the door slide close behind her. She stands before the Admirals desk, some what nervous.
Have a seat Ensign.
I prefer to stand Admiral. I really feel a bit nervous, and awkward now.

Ensign Whitcher comes to Lt. Drek station as he finish up going over what happen with the IDS.
Hey Art...you hear we pick up somemore people and guest what?
Art looks up from his report he is ritting for the Captain and the XO.
First off...did you finish your report on what happen to the inertial damper? If so hand over your report and second I don't have time to play sixty questions today Billy...so what going on?
Ensign Whitcher hand Lt. Mitchen his report about the damper.
So Art..... the story going around is the Commandore Maddox has brought over his own "toaster".
Art looks up from his report...
Billy...what the frek are you talking about "toaster"?
Then it hit Mitchen.
You mean he brought his android with him...then the stories are all true about him. I been told that this android is something special...even more then Captain Data.
Billy now has a big smile...
Hey Art...the Transport Chief said she a looker too...nothing like Captain Data...he said if he didn't get the word from a good friend on the Cosair...he wouldn't have believe she was an andriod.
I wonder what she doing on the Connie?
Get this Art...she going to be our new CMO...I wonder how the Holo Doctors on each deck are going to take this?
Forget that Billy....think about this...we don't have a ready doctor onboard this ship.....Not sure what going to happen there. It took me years to get used to the holo Doc.....now I'm going to have a freking toaster patching me up. What next...a crew full of toaster?

Somewhat taken an android shows concern of her own feelings. Also she was willing to voice them.
I am sorry if I made you feel.....awkward. It's just your father has a way of presenting a new crew member that I don't agree with. I called you here because you have completely no personal file. In normal situations, I would let the counselor get to know you for 3 months. But as it is, we have a mission, and I don't have time to deal with Emergency Hologram Doctors, especially when my Chief Petty Officer is more then competent to shut him off. So I need to determine in what little we will have here to see if you are what you father advertises. Tell me Rayna? Do you feel that you are different from the rest of the crew?

Hearing the Admirals first query she rools her eyes, with a "Darn not again expression", then catching herself as the Admiral look somewhat shocked she did that, her mouth gaped.
Oh....I am so sorry Admiral. I...I get asked that question alot, and to tell you the truth...I hate that question.

Astonished by her response, she looked dumbfoundedly as Rayna makes apologies.
I see you have no problems expressing yourself. Tell me why you hate that question?

Finally lossening up, she decides to take the seat before she does something else embarassing.
Admiral, I have been asked that very question 7,432 times. And since my Positronic mind has been active, have grown to loath that question. But I don't Admiral. Don't feel special, or Unique to anyone here. I realize I have no mortality, nor supremacy, or feel any prejudices from others.

She nods and follows the lieutenant out when the lift stops and the doors open.
"If I may, what can you tell me about Admiral Morgan? I've heard some interesting things about her, and I would like to make sure I haven't been misled.."

Well first the rumors she was assimilated are not true. She was infected by Borg nanoprobes that can....well literally build. Like microscopic replicators, they can turn matter into any form. They were essentially the way the Borg can build these Transwarp Hub in a harsh environment without their biological part being destroyed. Other then that she's a fair commander. She tends to put on a persona of Starfleet, but she kicks back often. You might even catch her in the Lounge throwing a few back with the enlisted officers. Other then that she is pretty laid back. You can tell that by her First Officer Dorian Vatto.
