Anise frowned at the mention of an 'Omega Directive', as she had never heard of it before, but already has the feeling it's something she wasn't supposed to know about, at least until now.
Glancing at Yuna, she felt worry for what her team might find. She also was worried for what the rest of the Crusader crew would find wherever they were off to.

Looks directly into the Captains eyes and in a complete deadpan, "There is no problem that can't be solved with high explosives and killing anyone remotely involved?"
He let out a long sigh and proceeded to study an empty space somewhere hovering over the conference desk.

She audibly gasps at the remark made by their chief medical officer, and her emotions were then highly charged at his attitude there, unable to believe that he even made that remark.
Glancing at Yuna, she carefully opens her mind.
~What kind of bug got up into him, to want to kill and destroy first and be done with it?~

Hearing the Doctor comment, she couln't help but gasp aloud. She fired a non-believing, open mouthed, shocked expression toward him "Great Goddesses! Doctor, I am surprised at you, making a comment like that. With you being a doctor, you should want to save lives, no matter who it is, not just blatantly want to destroy life, even possible innocents" Plus him being part Betazoid, that would be totally against a "normal" Betazoid's beliefs
She shook her head and felt Anise reaching out to her telepathically. Yuna responded in kind ~ I don't know, love. That is so not like a Doctor's way of thinking. They usually want to save lives ~
She turned back to the Captain and apologized for her outburst then she looked inquiringly at Candi "Omega Directive? I never heard of that"

She caught Yuna's response to the doctor's remark as well, and has to bite the inside of her lip to keep herself from becoming vocal, something she learned to do early on in her security training.
Hearing Yuna's response, she had a puzzled feeling when she was called 'love' and wondered if that was something that is used as a way for a Betazoid to address a close friend. She debates on asking that when they get off duty.
Returning to the captain's remark about an Omega Directive, she looks at the captain.
"Omega? I've never heard of that.."

Just gives a shake of his head. He then looks at Yuna with an expression that makes it clear she should drop it, even as he turns to look sadly out the view port.

Yuna wasn't looking towards Karo when he gave the look to her but she nonetheless got the feeling. She mentally shook her own head, continuing to listen to the Captain

She scowls at the Doctor, her smile disappeared as she is not use to her staff, no matter what rank, or position has stirr the pot.
Doctor. I assure you, we are not in the business of taking any lives. Rather saving them. And the Omega Directive is that. The Omega molecule is a short-lived, highly unstable molecule, believed to be the most powerful substance in the known universe. It is so energetic that even a few molecules would, in theory, be able to power a whole civilization. Unfortunately harnessing this energy has proven....Hazardous at best. Dr. Ketteract, a Federation physicist synthesized a molecule in the late 2360's. In mere seconds it went unstable, killing 127 leading Federation scientists, destroying the research station and causing ruptures in subspace extending several light years, making warp travel and subspace communications impossible in the region. This region is known as the Lantaru sector, in order to retain secrecy of the cause of the impassibility of the region, all those who travel through it are told it is a natural phenomenon.

As the information on Omega was given to them by the captain, her eyes got big with a combination of surprise, awe, and outright fear, as she had once been near the Lantaru sector as a young ensign, on a rescue mission, and had seen the great distance where a ship was barred from warp travel. She also knew that in said region, long-range communications would not function at all.
When she brought her surprise to her captain at that time, she was told that it was just a weird, naturally occurring phenomenon. Now she was being given this new information, which made her head swim at the thought of how much devastation can be wrought on an area if Omega could be controlled enough to use as a weapon.
"A single molecule caused all of that?!?" she blurted out in surprise, awe, and fear.

She found she was openly gaping again when the Captain explained the Omega particle. Just a few particles could power a civilization. Trying to control these molecules were, as the captain said, hazardous at best "Moon's of Betazed" She heard herself saying in surprise. She felt the same reaction coming from Anise, mixed with a little fear at the power a few molecules could produce. She then thought of something she didn't want to think about
"Perhaps the Zentrati have heard of these molecules and are attempting to harvest this power for there protoculture. If they can harness this power, they would be unstoppable, but if they can't and things get out of control.." She drifted off thinking the choas, devastation and destruction would be astronomical. She was starting to feel a bit fearful herself as the captain had decided to send her into the heart of the matter. She hoped this wouldn't be a one way trip..

She nods to Anise, and then looks to Yuna.
We were hoping to keep this all a secret. Heaven help us if the Orions, or Cardassian gets their hands on Omega. But, it has finally became a fact. In 2380, a Bormite refinery in Cardassian territory caused a shockewave that was felt some 50 Light years away, and left the area devoid of any subspace travel, and transmissions. We wa hoping this lesson would be learned, but the stakes were taken even higher. Do you all remember the Shockwave incident at Starbase 140 in 2387?

She frowns and looks at the captain, a clear sign that she doesn't know what she's talking about, and will likely need briefed on that, too.

She frowned a bit as the Captain mentioned the shockwave at SB 240 "Yes, I remember that. Who would forget that, those that were involved? That's not something to easily forget.. especially what happened AFTER the shockwave crippled the fleet"
She was sure the Captain would know what she meant

With a quizzical look on her face, she looked at Yuna, hoping to hear some of the details, as she hadn't been told about that, as she had just been promoted from cadet to ensign at the time.

She could feel the curiousity coming from Anise as she turned to look at her. She want sure how much she could tell so she would keep it simple. She opened her mind to Anise, which was already open ~ I don't know all the details but there was this explosion and shockwave that came from SB 240 that crippled most of the fleet. While we were trying to rebuild, we were ste upon by the Zentrati. Crew members were taken and placed in tubes, nude, and they wanted to see if they could mate with the female members but we all managed to escape and in the ensuing battle, we managed to drive them off. Now, it seems they are back ~
As she finished, she would glance at Anise
