When she got off duty, Anise found that she was incredibly hungry. She had not envisioned going on an away mission so soon after coming aboard the Crusader.
Hurrying down to the Mess Hall, she would about plant herself in front of the replicator to first get a drink to help ease her slightly woozy head.
"Two glasses of ichoberry juice, cold.." she would tell the computer.
As soon as they materialized, she non-stop drank the first one without taking a breath in between, proving just how much she needed food and drink.

Walks into the the Mess, and to the Replicator. She nods as she passes the new Lieutenant.
Cup of Coffee. Milk, 2 sugars, hot.
The replicator trilss a bit, and it materializes. She takes a seat near Anise.
Hi, my name is Yvette. Yvette Mintos.

She would put her now empty first glass back into the replicator for recycling, and was startled when she heard another crewmember come up behind her.
She would turn, almost dropping her other glass.
"Hi. I'm Anise.. Anise Shelaas. I was just posted here a couple of days ago."

I know. Small ship, news travels fast. I've been busy in Engineering. Tweaking the old girl a bit to her new subsystems. Takes a sip of the coffee.
What part of Operations you in? Phhhbtt, stupid question, definitely no engineering.

Her eyes would widen a bit, knowing she hadn't been aboard for even half a day, and was already side-swiped by the battle drill on the bridge.
"Tactical and security. I'm afraid my engineering skills are sorely lacking."

Apparently so are my social skills. I've been the Assistant engineer here for about 3 weeks myself. She a good ship, and they love their Captain, and Commander from what I'm told. Those 2 can walk on water. Laughs.

She would sip on her other glass of ichoberry juice, a drink she was extremely fond of.
"I bet. I must admit that I wasn't expecting the captain to be an Orion. That was quite a shock for me. It appears though that I'm already on her good side, if that means anything.
As for the XO, I don't know yet. I got more-or-less side swiped on the bridge by that battle drill to really get a feel for him."

Had started to giggle about a thought to the effect that the CO and XO could walk on water. When she sees the Andorian commander looking down at her, she almost froze like a deer in headlights.
"Sir!"
She would start to stand to get to attention.

Take a sip od her coffee, and sets it down.
Actually she's half Orion. She's been through alot from what I hear. I'm surprised that she's still in command. With the talk she was a spy. Teshurr even asked the Admiral for a Transfer, after she surrendered to the Zentradi to save us. Being on her good side means alot. That means she trust you. Which she generally trust everyone. Mike told me, when you transfer onto this ship, you become part of a Family.

She watches the XO carefully, to get a feel for his mannerisms.

Karo had been in the mess hall since getting off duty. At the moment he was holding a mug of fish juice that had gone luke warm and quietly staring out into the void beyond the transparent aluminum ports.

"Yes sir. Thank you."
